as it leads to acid indigestion.

Seriously. I was so freaking productive today. I finally *finally* organized the three shopping bags full of papers/bills/misc stuff that have been sitting in front of my TV for months. I am almost completely done. It is so freaking satisfying. And I was productive last Saturday as well.

And again with the acid reflux CRAP! And I keep spitting up this crap (like spitting, not throwing up). I am constantly spitting clear acidy phlemy stuff that is *painful* and it won't go away. Tums doesn't help. I took a Nexium and that isn't helping. It hurst and is annoying and I just want it to stop! Where is all of this liquid coming from? And why? Make it go away!

In other news . . .

I think TWoP really fucked up my viewing for season 7 of Buffy. Why, you ask? Because I watched most of the season today while I was cleaning (well, I skipped "Help" and most of "Bring on the Night" and I fast forwarded here and there, but I watched pretty much through "Lies My Parents Told Me") and it was a freaking *great* season. I'm going to watch the last five eps tomorrow as I finish my organizing. But I realized today that I watched most of the last season or so in a TWoP frame of mind, meaning I unconsciously (Or maybe consciously occasionally) would watch and instead of just enjoying my favorite show, I was picking it apart in the places I knew would be commented on in the ep threads and thinking about how it would be ripped apart in the recaps (I didn't read the recaps, but I still felt I knew the gist of what was being said).

I've pretty much taken TWoP off my internet roster, other than the fanfic thread and the OC recaps, and I am really happy about that.

I am a Buffy Fan and No Fucking Apologies.

"Storyteller" was a wonderful ep, and in my opinion, a very smart piece that lightened the tone before things became seriously heavy.

"Him"? Cracked me up (other than the horrifically painful and mortifying parts I had to fast forward through).

"Conversations with Dead People"? One of my top ten eps. Genius. Scary and funny and really just excellent ("I'm here to kill you, not to judge you"). There isn't one segment I didn't like. Joss written Buffy/Webbs, Marti's Willow/Cassie, Jane's Dawn, Drew's Trio and whoever it was who wrote the Spike bits which were perfect.

"Selfless"? Brilliant.

The CwDP/"Sleeper"/"Never Leave Me" one-two-three? One of the best three in a row of any season. Xander and Anya playing Good cop/bad cop kicks ass. I giggled like a school girl at the "One bite stand" line from "Sleeper" that had me groaning on first viewing because I knew it would get shit in the ep thread.

Anya and Willow's spell in "Same Time, Same Place" and it getting a little sexy.

Buffy's speech at the end of "Bring on the Night"

"Potential" with Dawn handing over her power and Xanders fanfuckingtastic bit at the end ("Maybe I'll get a cape" *sniff*)

Kicking ass in "Showtime"

LMPTM with the kick ass fight at the end.

All of "Lessons" and "Beneath You" (Can we rest now? Buffy, can we rest?)

Buffy snapping and, well, snapping in "Get it Done" and the very cool shadow puppets.

"First Date" with Jonathon-slash-the-First and the reactions by Giles and Spike to WIllow trying to record it.

Everything.

I love season seven of Buffy. And I fully believe that the show went out on top. So once again I'll say:

Buffy Fan. No apologies.

Amen! Preach it! I refuse to buy into the notion that s6 and s7 were the suckiest in all Suckonia. And I'm right with you on the TWoP influencing my viewing (and the subsequent bitterness). It's why I don't go there anymore.

Can we blame TWoP for your acid reflux?

Heeee! I don't know if we can, but I will. Thanks a lot, TWoP. Maybe I will send them my doctors bills. Bah.

And I love and adored all of Buffy's seasons. One through Seven. Of course I didn't love every ep and of course other people have different opinions, but Buffy was such a fabulous and wonderful show. Straight through to the end.

Well, I love and adore S6-7 (except for "Touched", because it made me hate everyone except Buffy and Spike, but maybe that might change when I work up the courage to re-watch). But I get the TWoP frame of mind thing. I stopped posting and reading the ep thread there the night of CwDP, because I knew, knew, KNEW the entire thing was going to be "SPIKE IS EVIL!!!!!!!" And, when I did look, the first page of comments pretty much was "Ha ha! Spike's evil! Too bad for you dumb people who like him!" Being a spoilerwhore, I already knew he was being controlled by the First, and it took a lot of effort not to post huge spoilers along the lines of "Fuck you, he's being controlled, dumbass." So it was better for me to just back away. And once I stopped posting in the ep thread, I found I had little reason to even go to TWoP anymore. By around March, I'd deleted TWoP from my bookmarks altogether. One of the best internet-related decisions I've ever made, because it let me simply enjoy stuff on my own terms and not have to justify things to others.

So go you with the enjoyment! There's so much to love!

Hee. Twas the weekend for Buffy S7 marathons apparently. I watched TKiM-Dirty Girls yesterday so I could delete them (finally, *sniif*) off my Tivo. And yes, S7 was a great frickin' season. Some of these I haven't rewatched since the show ended because I am pathetic and couldn't bring myself to let the show be...done, you know? But watching them now reminded me why I loved them so much the first time around.

Oh, I so agree. It was a kickass season, and it hangs together beautifully. Is it perfect? No. But it's still fricking awesome.

Much agreement. We had to stop TWoPing too. Season 7 had lots of great stuff in it, lots of great episodes. There's always a tendency to complain about how a show has declined (people have been doing it since Season 4, and there are probably people who think season 3 or 2 were downhill), and TWoP tends to get overloaded with it. I think Buffy really maintained the quality in later seasons.
