angelchicken | Yeah, I slept 'til noon. What of it?

I went to bed at midnightish. Woke up at 7:30 this morning. Watched Bridget Jones Diary (on my DVD player which now finally works!!!). Went back to bed and had a dream about my visiting Bridget and Mark and Daniel. There was snow (lots and lots of show. Avalanche-like snow. The four of us cross country skied through London to the country boarder (which happened to be with Sweden) and watched the moon rise. Literally right in front of our face.

Yeah, Make Darcy wanted me.

It was faboo.

To be fair, I really only slept until 11:30. I just didn't get out of bed until 12:30ish debating whether or not to take a walk. I did, finally, decide to take a walk, and immediately bumped into Joanna (one of the women I ride the train with. One of the Greek women who let me know that if I was in Greece I would have five boyfriends). It really couldn't be more than a coincidence, but she happened to be with a friend, who happened to be a male, who happened to be around my age. And she happened to get out of the car so we could all talk. Then she happened to excuse herself, so it was just me and GreekBoy, whose name escapes me, but it started with an 'S'. He was nice, and walked with me for a mile before he went back to work (in Real Estate) and I continued on my walk. It's possible he was interested in me. I don't actually know if I am interested in him, but he said he would get in touch with me at some point. Possibly though Joanna.

It was funny. But nice. It is nice when guys take an interest.

I then came home and proceeded to act like a six year old girl in her mothers dressing table. Really. I cleaned my dresser and it is so fun!!! I had such a great time. I was listening to "Paul's Boutique" and dancing and polishing and vacuuming. And I ended up wearing every single piece of jewelry I had from college and high school that I still have (At one point I was wearing about six necklaces/chokers/charms and bangle-y type bracelets, light blue sunglasses and red lipstick. I also had blue nail polish on one hand). It was fun.

After the Beasties ended I turned on "In the Hall of the Mountain King" which is a fabulous piece of classical music to "air conduct" and dance around the room with reckless abandon. Both of which I did. Then I put on the Messiah, which I normally love (and, as "In the Hall of the Mountain King" has some slightly evil undertones. It was only sensible to follow it with a wonderful piece of joy and rejoicing).

But, dude. As it turns out, the copy of the Messiah I have is so miserably apathetic. Seriously. I was listening to "Glory to God" and the rest of the parts that lead to the Hallelujah Chorus and it was find. But the chorus itself was so blah. No joy. The thanking of the Lord seemed to be a chore. I am not a very religious person, but really. I have no room in my life for sub-par accolades. The disk goes.

If anyone knows of a good copy of the Messiah, please let me know.

Finally, I turned on Pride and Prejudice. Because I do so love it. And I painted my toes red (and, accidentally, my hands. Getting red nail lacquer off the hand? Kind of a pain. And too much nail polish remover causes a headache).

Despise Mrs. Bennett and Lydia.

I'm sorry. I know that Mrs. Bennett is a total caricature and her exaggerated character is completely intentional but I can. not. stand her. At. All. I find no humor in her.

I do love how smitten Mr. Darcy is with Elizabeth. Firth is such a hottie. And apparently he has quite the rep. I like that. He's kinda a bad boy. Mmmmmmm.

Tomorrow, I might continue cleaning. But I might not. I don't know. I will go grocery shopping though, as the only things I have had to eat today are an apple with peanut butter and parmesan cous-cous.

I need food.
