Grrr. Argh.
Apr. 20th, 2003 09:07 pmDo you know what I hate (Well, loathe might be more appropriate actually)? Those damn pop-up ads that advertise software to stop pop-up ads. What the HELL kind of sadist comes up with that as an ad campaign? May they rot in heck. And yes, I can see how someone can say "Ooo! How clever of them to have this idea because a person will most likely eventually be so *fucking* frustrated by this that they will eventually cave and buy the software!" and to them I say Bleaaagh. I will NOT buy the stupid software! I will deal with those annoying ads and be secure in the knowledge that whomever devised the plan will suffer some sort of major karmic retribution. I'm not sure what it will be, but I like to think that it would involve honey, a deep hole and an army of fire ants.
My mom called me earlier because The Ten Commandments is on ABC and she needed to watch with me. We do this sometimes (like Oscar night). We won't actually say anything other than the occasional comment and we watch the movie/show/whatever together. It is nice, but sometimes it is hard to get off the phone. And sometimes I am not so much into watching the movie as I am into finding out if
eliade (Anna S.) has posted more of her fic (she has). But we watched for a bit in any case. And it does have Yul Brynner in it. I love Yul Brynner. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. I love him. Remember the scene in The King and I when the King tells Anna that she can not be higher than he is ever (actually, no one can) and to see if she is paying attention he keeps moving up and down. That always made me laugh. And I loved when he introduces the children and the twins come out and he gives Anna this look and holds up two fingers all bragging-like. And the little kid at the end who runs in late and so he picks the kid up- while the kid is still in bow form- and places him in line. I loved that movie.
To everyone who celebrates it, Happy Easter!
