Thank goodness for model trains!

Last night I saw A Mighty Wind at the Amsterdam theater in Soho. It was fabulous (though not as good as Best in Show, imo) and had some truly unexpectedly funny moments. Jennifer Coolidge is a God(ess). I love Christoper Guest movies. They make me happy. The Amsterdam theater, by the way, is Crap. It might have some glorious history and maybe it's trendy because it is in Soho and not one of those big multiplexes, but really it is a shit theater. The freaking subway runs right by it and you can hear it through the walls.

Oh. Interesting thing happened. I was on the escalator with my buds when the escalator suddenly . . . stopped. Just, out of nowhere slowed down and stopped. That has never happened to me before. It was odd.

Tonight I go see my tummy doctor. Thank Goodness. I am sick and tired of having acid indigestion and I am ready for it to be over with. So Doc and I need to sit down and figure out how to make. it. stop. Now. I need to sleep at night. Not lie (well, lounge, really. I can't lie down. Makes it worse) pitifully whimpering to myself and trying to will my tum to give it a rest. *sniffle*

I'm sorry about your tummy. I hope the Doctor makes it better for you. And I can't wait to see A Mighty Wind. During Best in Show I laughed so hard I snorted. Repeatedly. ["How much do you think I can bench press?"] If "Wind" is even half as good, it's bound to be a good time.
