Confusion. It's what's for dinner.
Apr. 13th, 2003 08:27 pmI need help. Not in the beating down the doors "Give my daughter the shot!" kind of way, but in the if I don't figure out the lyrics to this song (Title of which I do not know. Artist of which I do not know. You see my dilemma) there is the distinct possibility that I will go insane and spend the rest of my days babbling about gang bangs or some such. And that would get dull after a while.
So here's what I've got:
A part of the song goes "Woah oh oh oh oh oh oh" and then it chorus? Repeated line? (Damn you, music history, for failing me now!) coda, maybe? goes "Back on the gang bang" except that can't really be the line. Seriously. It might be chain gang(as in prisoners) which I think also doesn't make much sense, but I think that if the line really was "gang bang" I would remember it. I see the expression so rarely in pop culture that I think it would stick out when I came across it. Also- the song is sung by a woman. Which woman? I don't know. I want to say Blondie or Pat Benetar, but I think I am only thinking of them because I saw things about both of them earlier today so they are fresh in my mind. I am fairly certain, though, that I could tell the difference between Blondie and Pat, but I guess that really has nothing to do with the song.
So any help would be appreciated.
I was contemplating my dinner earlier (well, as I was eating it) and I was struck by my perfect balance of healthy and utter crap. It may be a talent. Seriously. I had baked salmon with lemon, brussel sprouts (are they from Brussels? I have always wondered about the origin of their name. Well, if always counts as the last minute and a half, in amy case), and then I had onion straws (like the rings, only floppier) and sweet potato sticks (aka french fries- excuse me freedom fries *insert eye roll and gagging noises*- made with sweet potatoes). So. Healthy and heart smart set off by two sides of artery clogging deliciousness. Mmm, mmm good.
In other news, "Black Sash" is on in about fifteen minutes. Wheee! (And I think it is called "Black Sash" I could be horribly mistaken). It is a new WB show, for those of you who don't know, and it is filled with pretty, angst-filled teens who all study karate under their kindly, bounty hunter Sensi. Who is trying to get joint custody of his daughter after he spent five years in a Hong Kong (I think) prison for a crime he didn't commit.
The Sensi is cool and he has a (Father? Master? Grandaddy? Wise, aged, rent boy? I'm not sure yet) who is just adorable. And the most troubled of the troubled teens has fucking fantastic arms (Mmmmm, arms. MmmmmSpike). If this show can sustain its non complete suckatude then maybe, just maybe I will be able to watch it, not as a Buffy replacement, because nothing can replace by beloved Buffy, but maybe something to help get over the loss *sniffle*.
And I think I want to watch Platinum as well. That isn't on tonight, but I just thought of it so I wrote it.
And has anyone played Spider? It is like the crack of Windows games. And I thought free cell was bad. I think that Microsoft is even more evil than I originally expected. Huh.

Date: 2003-04-13 06:09 pm (UTC)I can kinda-sorta see how you could confuse Chrissie Hynde with Pat Benetar or Blondie. Same era and all that.
