My job's a bore/
I didn't sleep well/
And I am sore/
Another season/
Another reason/
For playin' hooky.
So I called in sick today. I just couldn't bring myself to get up and go to work. There are things I would much rather be doing today. Like getting a manicure and pedicure. Which I did. And besides, I have only called in sick once in the last eight months. Meanwhile, my colleagues are out practically every other day. So I took a damn day. Yee Haw.
And is it too early in the show for Bravo to have a "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" marathon?
Oh. My. God.
Seriously. People without cable should get cable just so they can watch this show. So fucking funny.
And last nights episode rocked! Favorite line?
Cooking Queer, while looking in Straight guy's (Tom) fridge(paraphrased): "This looks like it promotes alcoholism" pause "And botulism."
HA!
I don't know all of the Queer's names yet (other than Carson, who is the "flamboyant" one. But terribly funny) and Thom, Like "Tom" with a lithp. Like he just cut off the 'mas' and said, this sounds good. And different! Wheee! And I really liked Blair, but he's not a regular. But he was quite and sweet and adorable. I want him to come back. Don't go, Blair!
And the guy, Tom, last night was adorable. He was a hottie, and he was so into what they guys were doing. And he really wanted to impress his girlfriend, Lisa.
Lisa? The most emasculating guy on the planet. Seriously. She cut him down over and over and over again, and he just took it. Like the gay guys said, I hope that the new look gives him confidence, and her actually complimenting him (even if they are the most backhanded compliments ever) gives him confidence. And then he confidentially kicks her and her hoochie wear to the curb.
And I am in love, love, love with this show.
