Nyah, Nyah. I got to spent the afternoon with
sallyanne and
sodanyc.
That's right. Sally and Soda.
Needless to say (though I'll say it anyway), I had a wonderful time. I am actually extremely tired right now (waking up at 6 AM combined with the surprisingly great amount of walking I did today) so I will update with more details tomorrow when I am in my right(er) mind.
But the food was yummy, the location was great (And Yay! to garden seating), Sally and Soda are sweeties (and Sally actually is as evil as she seems to be on lj), poor Soda had some umbrella issues (apparently her chair was one of the key elements in keeping the table umbrella from toppling, or at least wobbling in a concerning manner), Sally somehow talked a vendor down to half price on a nice pair of shades (so impressive, even if it was unintentional), and I got a mocha malt frap from Starbucks (which has nothing to do with Sally or Soda, but it was yummy, so I thought I would share).
PSA: IF you think you are going to be doing a lot of walking, it is best not to wear flip-flops that have caused you blisters and stuff in the past. I was fine until I decided to get off a train stop early and walk the additional mile. Stupid feet. Grrr.
Oh! And we possibly scared away the (probably) gay boys who were sitting next to us. They moved inside. This happened around the same time as the "umbrella incident" (poor Soda) so that may have been a factor. They also may have been frightened (and intimidated, of course) by the three obviously intelligent and fabulous women talking about Spike's abs, comparing and contrasting Spike and Angel, getting into Spander, WesFaithLah, and fic in general, and occasionally bringing in the ass rape. Complex sophistication that can be intimidating to really most anyone, really. Poor dears didn't stand a chance.
They may have also been concerned when I apologized in advance for the umbrella falling on them (not that it would have. Soda got a hold on that thing but quick). Who knows.
So, in closing. HA, HA! I met Sally and Soda! And I am going to see them again next month! Yay! I'm the luckiest AngelChicken in the world!
