This is an article I just read regarding the Spike/Buffy relationship in season six. It is nothing I haven't thought of before, but it is stated so well (and pretty much all of the points I have thought of are touched upon) that I wanted to share it.
Warning: it doesn't paint Buffy or Willow in a pretty light.

The thing I think I like most about this article is that while the author does put most sympathy on Spike she in no way forgives his actions. She know that he has done deplorable things in the past. So the article isn't a Spike absolution. It is just painting the picture as it was shown to us last year (and of course it is opinion. But I think it's a very intelligent one).
