Or it's Toth.
Jul. 6th, 2003 06:54 pmI think I have mono. And maybe a tapeworm. I have taken a nap every day this weekend. Just so sleepy. So very sleepy. And hungry. I have done nothing but eat. Bah. The "I'm not hungry, I'm bored" chant has done nothing.
I had a bizarre dream. I was back in karate, after my 2.5 year hiatus (really, that's how long the hiatus has been). And I think maybe Dawn worked there. And I was in the kids class, but there were other adults, too. And suddenly I was Buffy; specifically the Buffy from the AU fic Gravity and I was in the class, but people didn't know I was me. And I was supposed to give a talk to them, but when she announced me, and I went up, they were all pissed at me for deceiving them. But I was forgiven, because Spike was going to come talk about mountain climbing (which actually makes a modicum of sense as he is a mountain climber in the story). So he showed up and gave a great speech and found one of the students teddy bears.
Then we were in Pirates of the Caribbean, as written by AU fanfic writer Dee (she is currently writing "About A Boy" which rocks). There was about two seconds of pirating, then back to Buffy and Spike from Gravity.
Then were living in a SIM house in a SIM neighborhood (though I have no clue what they look like) and Spike was a giant. But he could still get into the house. And he and Buffy were in love. Dawn was their neighbor. The woman on the other side of Dawn was moving so Buffy and Spike wanted to move there because it was a prettier house. Better colors. The owners said they could have it if Spike helped them move (as he was a giant, the things that most people would find heave, like washer/dryer sets, he could lift in one hand). He agreed and when he was done he went back to his house with Buffy and they sat on the back porch. And she played with the hornets nests that were on his chest and arms. Wehn she realized that they were there she was horrified and asked if hornets built nests on him often and he said, yes, he couldn't go outside without his biceps aching.
It was really, really odd.
And in other news. I wrote two
sunday100 drabbles with the same theme, and didn't want to post them both as the punchline has already been done. But since I wrote two, I figured I would just post it here. Since it's done and all. The second one is posted at sunday100.
He had known heartbreak, but nothing like this. Cecily, Dru. They were just paper cuts.
A quick sting, but soon forgotten.
But this.
This was worse than anything he could imagine. He couldn’t understand why she would leave. He gave her everything. He gave and he gave and he gave. But she was so mean.
No. He loved her. There had to be a way. He just needed her to see.
The sound of her retreating footsteps, and his sobs, echoed through cavern.
Picking himself off the floor he ran, falling to his knees before her.
“Harmony, please!” he sobbed.
