A rare occurrence, to be sure, but one to treasure.
Today was not a bad day, but it had it's frustrations, the largest being trying to untangle my bike from the building bike rack that held the bikes from two buildings and has almost no room so bikes and pretty much on top of each other even when you take them out for a ride regularly.
When you don't take them out for over a year?
It's an angry, messy detangling, indeed.
But I succeeded.
And then I walked my bike to Village Cycle to get some air in them there tires.
Then I realized that I was exhausted and filthy (it was fun watching people on the street try not to stare and my grime-streaked legs) and didn't want to ride my bike home.
I also realized that my bike is two years old. Hasn't been ridden in over a year. And probably needs a jot of work.
So I left it for a tune up.
YAY!
Then I walked home because 1) I thought I might pass a place to pick up dinner (I didn't) and 2) I was too lazy to find a cab.
OH!
And I was planning on popping in my old place - which is still, technically, mine until tomorrow - so that I could change from my work clothes into bike detangling and riding clothes and it turns out they already changed the locks!
So, on the envelope that I put the spare keys in I left a message saying, "please reimburse me for the two days rent and apply it towards my electric bill for July, kthxbai".
Dude! WTF?
Then I came home and took a shower and the water was gray from the bike-grime.
And then I had a cobb salad and now I am in bed. My brother just dropped by for about four minutes to see my place. He was in a suit and tie, carrying a PBR and had a cigarette tucked behind his ear.
My brother the Yuppie.
So!
Who wants to come unpack for me?
