More Buffy Love

angelchickenWell. It is a quiet day and I didn't go to the Cloisters (I woke up late) so I thought I would continue with my Buffy ep. love. So I am. Just as a reminder, for those who are curious, I decided to go through and post something (or somethings) I liked from each Buffy ep. And do it by memory. This 1) is a nice way to remember the good times, 2) kills time, and 3) is evidence of my level of Buffy obsession. Not quite sure if reason three is a good thing, so I am choosing to believe it is..
And I am adding a disclaimer as there is a lot of quoting and I'm pretty sure I don't have it all right. So. Lotsa paraphrasing.
1) When She was Bad- The sexy Bronze dance; the end, when Buffy is concerned that her friends won't like her after she was bitchy, but then she goes to class and they saved her a seat. *sigh* I loves me some good scoobiage.
2) Some Assembly Required- I like Giles and Jenny on a date. And Willow and Xander just bustin' on in. Very teenager of them. Hee.
3) School Hard- Heh. Oh School Hard. How do I love thee . . . I love Spike's introduction (the running over the sign part and the whole first scene with the annoying one). Especially the shot that is also my icon, that I can never describe so I call the almost kiss to head turn shot. And I love the prophetic "I'll tell you what. As a personal favor from me to you, I'll make it quick. Won't hurt a bit." "No Spike. It's going to hurt a lot."
4) Inca Mummy Girl- Eskimo Willow.
5) Reptile Boy- Willow yelling at Giles and Angel. Hee. They so deserved it.
6) Halloween- "Well, this is just . . . neat."; Army Xander. Yum. Did you happen to notice his arms? And, the introduction of Ethan which led to the first glimpse of MmmmRipper. That was a good. And "The ghost of what exactly?"
7) Lie to Me- I loved the Spike and Dru interaction in this ep. And the end. Giles' lie to Buffy. And her "Liar". That was wonderful interaction.
8) The Dark Age- "Why does he keep calling you Ripper?" "Oh". I love learning about Giles' past.
9) What's My Line?- Part One- Oz's reaction to seeing Willow. And his Canape' offer. *sigh* I like the ice skating. It was sweet. I loved "Debase the beef canoe. Why do I think that's not right?" And this is kind of little, but I love when Spike upsets Dru and when he goes to apologize he gets down on one knee to her level, and they stay at the same level. Actually, I like the whole scene with Spike, Dru and Dalton. Oh! And I love Dru's nails.
10) What's My Line?- Part Two- The Xander/Cordy kiss! Hee! "My Black Goddess. My Ripe Wicked Plumb."; "I'd rather be fighting you anyway." "Mutual."; The monkey pants discussion. Dru torturing Angel.
11) Ted- John Ritter is always jolly good fun.
12) Bad Eggs- "Joyce saying she doesn't want to call kids a burden, but actually she does. And I like Xander in this ep. Why? I can't pinpoint. But I just really, really do.
13. Surprise- "Clearly the Hellmouth's answer to what do you get the girl who has everything"; Oz asking Willow out.
14. Innocence- Angelus; "I'm seventeen. Looking at linoleum makes me want to have sex"; Angelus; Xander talking his way into the weapons place thingie (hello memory loss); Angelus kissing Spike; The fucking best call to arms shot in the entire series (coming out of the elevator with the rocket launcher); "What's that do?"; The cruel, evil post sex Buffy/Angel scene. So. Fucking. Painful.; Willow kissage
15. Phases- Oz asking about Jordy being a werewolf.
16. Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered- Xander's slo-mo walk to "Got the Love" Hee!; "What rhymes with lungs?"; Cordy's sheep speech and her walking off with Xander. The smile Xander gives when Cordy says she can date whoever she wants.
17. Passion- Guh. So painful. Angelus chasing Jenny. Angelus killing Jenny. Giles finding Jenny *sob*. Buffy sobbing that she needs Giles. Willow and Buffy receiving Giles' call.
18. Killed By Death- Xander being a white knight. "You're going to die and I'm going to be there."
19. I Only Have Eyes for You- Buffy and Angel's possession. The heartbreaking moment when Buffy thinks she has Angel back. Spike getting out of the wheelchair and the kicking it. Yum.
20. Go Fish- Speedo Xander.
21. Becoming- Part One- Whistler's voice over while Buffy is running to the library. "Someone wasn't worthy"
22. Becoming- Part Two- Every. Single. Second.
