1) In the battle between man and nature Peter came out on top, though his car is, I believe, a bit worse for the wear. This also fills me with huge amounts of relief (Peter coming out on top, that is).

2) My boyfriend is not an asshole.

3) Last night I got to see my very favorite Andrew who I haven't seen since *October* (September? Someone help me out. When was I last in New York?) and he is just as awesome as ever and seeing him made me happy!

4) I am not the customer I had at work today (see #2).

5) Peekie

6) Schrödinger, the little flirt

7) My warm bed in my cold apartment (the way I like it!)

8) The Wild Reef exhibit at the Shedd Aquarium, particularly sitting under one of displays and looking at all of the beautiful colors and amazing marine life. It's like a little bit of magic.

9) Deep dish pizza

10) The weather we've been having in Chicago the last few days.

11) My mother and the way we can laugh when we are together. Like when we were setting up for the Farmer's Market at 6:15 on Saturday morning in a freaking deluge.

12) My friends, on and off line.

13) Heather and Ernst

#1 and #2 are definitely the best, with Peekie running a close third. Selfishly, I'm also rather pleased about #10, because that will be my weather in a few days.

One and two *are* best and three and Peekie are definitely second best (because I lurve my friends and my cat) and the weather yesterday and today has been gorgeous. You shall be pleased, oh yes! you shall be pleased.

I'm all for a baker's dozen of happy, but I think #3 needs further explanation. . .
And for the record, I saw you in NY in September, but I think you were here until October. I think you saw A in September, though.

YES! You are the help I was looking for. And I feel like I should have seen you more.

I should have seen you more, dag nabit.

More explanation on three. I shall give it! Just not now because I have to go (back to) sleep.

But he is good and all is well. I miss you, my friend the lbb.

Yes, it would have been great to see you more, but it wasn't you're fault that I was in Saratoga for the nuptials of the LBC's cousin. The evening of Tex-Mex & the day we trekked all over the borough of Manhattan were indeed awesomeness, though. Miss you! Did I tell you the other cousin is getting married in May. . .in your general vicinity?

Oh, that's right, you had to go witness nuptials and we found bacon chocolate and then Rice to Riches didn't have the pumpkin rice pudding I wanted and we stopped in Sur la Tab and it was a wonderful day of LBB!

I remember now.

When you say in my general vicinity do you mean within my personal bubble? Because I should prepare for that. Shower, at least. Or in my 'hood? Or my city? Or my state?

Any of those things, fyi, make me go OMG IS IT MAY NOW???

I am thinking my next trip to NYC might be February.

My next trip to New York, though. . .

Maybe sooner . . .

Somewhere between your city & state. In your 'burbs. There may be a business trip in February, too, but that's tentative right now. Many peeps have been asking when you are coming to visit. You are very much missed. Are you coming to Non-NYC, NY? Buffalo? Elmira? Sing Sing?
