I can't believe I didn't post this sooner! Because of the oddness factor, at the very least!

A bird flew into my head today.

A bird (pigeon).

Flew.

My head.

Clotheslined.

By a wing.

Does stuff like that actually happen? I mean, the absurdity of the whole thing is such that I am vaguely curious as to whether I imagined it.

But I didn't.

Because of the THUD to the back of my head.

Where a bird flew into it.

How weird! Did it just keep flying, or did it hit the ground or what?

Right? And it just kept on flying, no worse for the wear.

I, on the other hand, was a jot stunned.

I mean, really? That happened?

Ow for both you and the bird. OW.

At least it didn't poop on you. I got bombed once.

Oh, I have been bombed. I have been bombed indeed.

That is a sad thing. And once i had the extra up yours where it got me *and* my coffee.

That just hurt.

Eww, that's just gross. I thought it was bad when I got hit on my way to a date with a boy in HS, but that's worse. And I don't even like coffee. And the bird hitting you & continuing on is just weird. Like the squirrel that I saw fall out of a tree, belly flop on the street & run back off into the woods.

You poor thing! Glad to hear there's no lasting damage to you or the rat with wings.

I've nearly been hit in the head by a bird, though not a pigeon. At my college, the starlings would go crazy in the springtime, deciding that anyone walking in the quad was trying to infiltrate their nests. Ever vigilant, they'd dive bomb people who were walking by. I only avoided being hit because the sun was behind me and I saw the shadow of the bird and was able to duck at the last second.

Birds are vicious. Mean.

And Holy Crap! Starlings are scary, yo! I'm glad the sun was on your side!

I've been attacked by crows repeatedly, but have never been flown into.

I'm glad you're okay, but your story did make me laugh and laugh and laugh.

Heh, it makes me laugh, too.

And it didn't hurt or anything, so that was good.

Crows are mean ol' suckers. They freaked me out when I was wee.

Hee! Aww, sweetie. You and Fabio. At least it didn't break your nose.

Fabio and I now share a special bond.

I never thought I'd say that.

And thank goodness it didn't break my nose! That would be quite a silly break, indeed (after the painful, of course).
