When it is this humid in June I have to say: I'm not really looking forward to the rest of the Summer.
Oh well. Better this then freaking February.
~
So, tonight I was supposed to go out for a lovely Birthday dinner with Fleet-who-is-now-known-as-Peter-because-because and I was all looking forward to it and stuff but life and my stupid sense of guilt and also obligation and Peter's stupid sense of not wanting me to relapse and, you know, caring means that I am not having a birthday dinner tonight.
Because I have to work tomorrow!
Boo!
But my boss has been so good during this whole Mono thing and he told me I was literally the last person he could ask and he was really in a bind and it was terrible and what was I to do?
So instead of a wonderful dinner at a delicious French restaurant I am having frozen pizza and a salad and instead of watching Buffy and movies with my fella I am going to fuck about on line and go to bed early and alone.
OH WOE IS ME!
On the plus side: Birthday dinner is now tomorrow night and then birthday brunch os on Sunday (what? I can make any meal I want a birthday meal if it is in the month of my birthday!
nautibitz said so and she is NEVER WRONG! And then, on my *actual* birthday, I am having a birthday dinner with my family and Bob, maybe, and Peter.
All these meals! I will start my thirty-second year stuffed to the GILLS!
~
I talked to the dermatologist today and Accutane is a go-go at 60mg which is fine. My one concern is that my cholesterol is, in fact, high - much more then I thought and actually higher then it's ever been. The nurse I talked to today said it wasn't anything to worry about and mono wreaks havoc on your whole body and that is probably why it's so high.
Still.
I don't like having high cholesterol. It was 156ish in November. I want that back.
~
Two very good things:
I got the equivalent of a Japanese soft core porn magazine from my very wonderful friend The Happy Luddite who just got home from a vacation in Japan!
YAY!
I also, finally, got my new Breitling watch! YAY! It's all pretty and shiny and new! It looks like the watch on the left in this picture but it's on a leather strap and not a bracelet.
Oh! A third good thing:
Air Conditioning! I love you, my A/C!
eta: Japanese soft core porn has been upgraded to Japanese porn. AWESOME!

Date: 2008-06-06 11:46 pm (UTC)I might have to seriously rethink this relationship.
First with the caring about my health and now with the trolling.
I just don't know.
Also, I made reservations for 6:30 tomorrow so there. HA! I am looking forward to it. Especially dessert. I kind of want dessert now.

All right! Enough! I'm sorry i stood you up tonight and left you to eat commissary food. But you need to get healthy and not be exhausted after work tomorrow and get healthy and not be tired all next week and get healthy.
And no "Sandman" after nine! Straight to bed with you!
(Oh, for those of you not In The Know: my old air conditioner finally gave up the ghost, so i'm having a spiffy new system installed on Wednesday. Meanwhile, it's hot and humid. And, as you can surmise, i had a date with angelchicken's air conditioner and angelchicken tonight.

Wow, it's so windy on my balcony that it just threw some leaves out of my salad bowl.
As for that "first post" stuff, for a while now, i've wanted to find some conspicuous brick wall and paint that on -- complete with 1's and 0's, and maybe some "oneoneone" in the string of exclamation points. With water-soluble paint, of course; i'm no vandal. Or maybe i'll just take a picture of the wall and photoshop the rest. Yeah: the idea is funnier than actually doing it, and i'd rather be a virtual vandal than a real one. Maybe i'll even include myself looking furtive with a can of spray paint in the photo!
Re: Tossed salad. <- that is dirty
Date: 2008-06-06 11:56 pm (UTC)I could, it's true, but it's no fun when I'm alone and Peekie hasn't yet mastered matches (we don't talk about it. It's kind of a sore spot with her).
> All right! Enough! I'm sorry i stood you up tonight and left you to eat commissary food.
You know, I'm lying here under my *comforter* and my arms are almost *cold*. I was thinking of maybe getting a sweater. =D
And Sandman is BEST after nine! That is when I am in the Sandman vibe!
And it *is* windy! Did you have storms today? It stormed in the city for about a second and then stopped, but the wind is fierce like Tyra Banks.
But I wonder what it has against your salad. Hmmmm . . .
I just sent you an email.

Date: 2008-06-07 03:55 am (UTC)In other news, I am having my birthday meal on Sunday as well. (Monday birthdays suck, btw.)
And hooray for Japanese porn of any kind! Happy early birthday to YOU!

Date: 2008-06-07 05:30 am (UTC)Just so you know -- they have Japanese Vogue and Marie Claire and all that crap, but it was EXACTLY like the American versions, except that it opened back to front and had Japanese writing instead of Romanized writing. So I thought you might be bored with it.
So.
What is the magazine like? Besides a cursory, "eh, we got some apes, some local celebrities, and some chicks with boobs" we didn't really look at it.
