Accutane: Week 7

This is the week of Joint Pain.
Oh, dear lord, do I ache. I feel so geriatric, waking up and aching, going to sleep and aching, staying in one position too long and aching. And I know this has to be a side effect of the Accutane because it is one of the most common Accutane SEs and so it's either joint pain from medicine or arthritis and, frankly, I would like to not even consider that option, please, because I am already neurotic enough. I can consider it if the aches continue without the Accutane scapegoat.
Other then that, dry, thirsty, massive fatigue, blah, blah sameol'cakes.

So! In other news!
Worked yesterday. Around two o'clock we discovered a massive leak in the ceiling in the back of the store (not the floor, thankfully) and that was an adventure in trying to rescue inventory, stop the leak or at least get out buckets, save the mail and prevent the water from getting to the master computer that is basically the main network.
Good times.
Then . . .
Fleet!
Who, it seems, has some spacial relation issues as he backed his car into a fence today while dropping me off which is the second time he has hit something while backing up with me in the car.
But he can parallel park like he was made for it.
Go figure.
The biggest downside is that while he was in AZ his car was at the shop getting a boat load of bodywork done.
Poor Fleet.
BUT!
Before that was fantastic! He came over yesterday evening and we went to dinner at my very favorite restaurant, Greek Islands which was, as usual, awesome except for the flaming cheese which was not melty enough. But that is the only time that has happened to me there and I go there a bit so I figured it was a fluke. Everything else was *amazing* as usual.
And yes, I know they were shut down temporarily by the Health Department and that is a very sucky thing but I figure that now is the *best* time to go because they are super-duper extra careful. It's (morbidly, I know) like flying after a plane crash. You know that the mechanics are going to be even more careful checking out the plane when thoughts of a crash are high in the minds of travelers. (Well, except me who thinks of crashes all the time). (And maybe that whole ultra careful thing isn't true but it helps me sleep at night so that's that).
After dinner we came back to my place and watched the Adventures of Pete & Pete (OMG! Baby Dawn! Funny!) and then Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and that was also good but I fell asleep about half way through. I've been sleepy lately! And it was about midnight and I had a big dinner and it was so cozy with the blanket and the Fleet and the dark room and the conditions that lead to sleep.
So I slept.
He left VHD here, though, so I can watch the second half. Maybe later tonight.
This morning was spent sleeping and then sleeping some more and then we had delicious brunch and then he went home and now I am here and I am still sleepy and full and relaxed and I'm not working on Tuesday.
It's all good, I say.
It's all good.

Date: 2008-04-28 12:51 am (UTC)And I feel *so bad* for Fleet! We were talking about it pristine new car not twenty minutes earlier and how he may have dinged the door and then *bam!*
Oh, the huge manatee. But it certainly could have been worse. Which probably doesn't make him feel better now, but still. Could have been worse.

Date: 2008-04-28 03:15 am (UTC)Have you seen plain regular Vampire Hunter D? I saw that, but not Bloodlust. I liked it, but I don't remember it at all. The LBC says the same thing, and he saw it twice. Can I ask what inspired watching the Adventures of Peter & Pete? I have actually seen that when it was on TV, but I don't recall Dawn's character. I wasn't hard core though. Was anyone?
Glad you had a good time with Fleet.
And by the way--I love flaming cheese. How did we never eat Greek food in NY? Do you only eat it at Greek Islands for fear of disappointment elsewhere?

Flaming cheese is the best ever! I LOVE IT! And *why* didn't we eat Greek food in NYC? I don't think I *ever* had it in New York! So strange! And it wasn't due to loyalty or anything, I just never thought about it. Where is there Greek food in New York (other then diners)? Is there a Greektown? Am I forgetting already?
Next time I'm in New York: Greek food! I proclaim it!
