1) Her-mi-o-ne or Her-mi-one

2) Si-rius or Si-i-us

Is it time to go home yet?

And when does the next Harry Potter book come out? I want it now, please.

Per the official pronunciation guide, Hermione is pronounced her-MY-oh-nee, and Sirius is pronounced just like the word "serious."

Ooh! That means I was right on both counts. Except not - the only way I could get how Hermione was pronounced was when my friend explained that it was kind of like Calliope.
