I feel like I should have expected the massive amounts of rain we are getting (at least in the northeast) because of the massive amount of snow we had this winter, but I just can't. It is insane. I don't want to hear the word 'drought' for the next decade.
In other news, went to party last night. Looked cute. Acted flirty. No numbers (though, to be fair, the bar was pretty dead). Left at 11:30 (because I am a loser) and ended up just making my 12:21 train, which sucks because I should have been there with mucho time to spare.
Let me take this moment to tell you how much I hate the subway.
I hate the subway.
I am 300 pages into OotP. I am really liking it. I would be closer to finished, I think if I hadn't gone out last night. Ah, well.
Wow, it's dark. Dark, dark, dark. And Harry is quite the hormonal one what with the mood swings and stuff.
The detention with Prof. Umbrage (creepy evil bat) where he was carving the words "I must not lie" into his had for a week? Holy hell, that's creepy. And dark.
The Sorting Hat song?
Dark dark dark and ominous
The Ministry is freaking me out and I am so looking forward to them getting theirs, but I am really freaked out that they won't.
Fudge needs to go to Azkaban.
I am really bothered that the Ministry is trying so hard to deny that Voldemort is back. I am aware that it is fiction, but I keep thinking about how much he is hurting the Wizard community by not even considering it and for almost purely selfish reasons.
This is really good. But I can't believe that this is still a children's series. If I were a wee one, I would be really upset by this.
Of course, I still have a whole day of reading ahead of me. So more thoughts later, when I know more.
Cheers.
