The world as I know it has become a strange and threatening place

For the past week or so I have been having an apple with peanut butter on it for breakfast. I think it is mmm, mmm good, but I have run across several people who have not only found me odd, but found the entire concept foreign and bizarre.

This confuses me. I was under the impression that everyone knew about peanut butter and apples as two great tastes that taste great together, much like peanut butter and bananas or peanut butter and chocolate (or, for the truly ambitious, peanut butter, banana and chocolate).

Am I alone in this? Have people not heartd of this snack-y type food? That makes me sad. So. I decided to cheer myself up by creating a poll.

In other news, I am once again in a horrifically bad mood. I have no idea why, but I have done almost no work today, I am really tired and cranky as hell. Twice in two weeks. Is this a 27 thing? Should I be expecting weekly piss poor attitudes? Or is it just that mercury is in retrograde and saturn is aligned with neptune (I am making that up. I have no clue about astrology or astronomy. Except that I am a gemini. And really freaking moody.

On the plus side, I don't want a ciggie.

Random other: It irks me that live journal doesn't recognize 'lj' which is in their own freaking coding!! How difficult would it be to add to the spellcheck? Bah!

I lurve apples with peanut butter. Also apples with cheese. And bananas and peanut butter. I also eat peanut butter in oatmeal and peanut butter on pancakes and waffles, the latter of which has gotten me similar reactions to what you're describing with the apples. I was just raised to consider peanut butter an all-purpose stick-to-your-ribs complement to almost any sweet or neutral food, and I was astounded to learn that some people never heard of PB on waffles.

Now I want some peanut butter and a slice of Hello Kitty toast.
