Alrighty then
Dec. 17th, 2006 01:47 pmSix day weeks suck. I never really thought about the value of the weekend until I had to work a mandatory six day week three weeks in a row. I mean, I did it at GIA but it was a choice. Now it is less so and I don't get home until late and then there is all this stuff I have to do - like cleaning and grocery shopping - when all I want to do is rest and relax and so my apartment gets dusty and I have no food in my house.
One more week, though.

Firday night I learned that vodka and soda is so very much not my drink. I had two and drank maybe half of each, but still got home around eleven feeling sick to my stomach (the crappy cab ride didn't help) and had a truly terrifying nightmare about ninja zombies.
In the cold light of day it's all very wtf? but at 1:30 in the morning it scared the everloving crap out of me and I had to turn the lights on and forcibly stop myslef from jumping at every noise.
Bad dream.

Last night I went to a very nice Christmas Party and then went for a crazy delicious impromptu dinner with two married couples I'm friends with. It was fine, but I felt very single. Fortunately it wasn't in a bad way. The food was amazing. We went to this restuarant in Bucktown and because we didn't have reservations we ate in the loounge area on couches and they food was served tapas (I think) style where we all just ate off of every plate.
Fried chickpeas are the greatest invention ever.

It is possible I will do something today. Clean or grocery shop. And I need a bit more cat food (yes, she's still here).
It is also possible that I will lie in bed and read Sports Night slash.
Ahh, the possibilities . . .
