In apartment with one (1) smuggled cat, white with gray patches and very few teeth while one (1) snowstorm, high winds, pelting snow, frozen sidewalks, merrily makes it's way across Chicagoland. In a half hour I will dress (I am currently wearing zero (0) pairs of pants), one cream silk blouse and black wool pants, and dry my hair and put on makeup to hide the three (3) zits that have made home on my chin right in time for the wedding, and then I will walk one (1) treacherous block to go to a Bridesmaids luncheon where, hopefully, I will see nine (9) bridesmaids and one (1) cousin who made it in before the storm. I am waiting to hear from one (1) other bridesmaid who was supposed to fly in this afternoon from New York ha-ha (ha ha) and the other is in a review session for her med school finals. I have four (4) cousins who have not made it in yet (see: storm) and there are, I think, four (4) members of the wedding party who have not made it here yet as well as a out of town guests.

The above paragraph brought to you by one (1) gemologist who has done many (MANY) appraisals.

I am ready for this wedding to be over. I know it will be a letdown, but I also know that my mom is so tense and stressed and she and Jenny have gone round and round a lot and I feel like I am just irritating when I am trying to help and I don't want to *deal* with my family, though maybe my brother because he seems cool and has hot friends.

It was nice to sleep in today, though. And I'm glad I got a manicure last night instead of this morning what with the Snow of Snowiness.

On the plus side, it is supposed to be beautiful tomorrow and the wedding isn't until five, so I am just hoping (assuming) everyone will make it at the last minute and the day will be the celebration we are all hoping for. And if people don't make it? MORE CAKE FOR ME!

Okay, my friends, xoxo. I'll see you on the flip side.

-Chicken out.

Oh! One thing first: I thought I threw out my Bond EW with One D. Craig on the cover looking all scowly and intense and embracing one E. Green looking all drapey but beautiful. But the other day I was cleaning and I found it! I *hadn't* thrown it out! And now I am debating the merits of taping the picture to my ceiling directly above my head. Plus: First ting I see in the morning. Con: I can't mack on the pic if it's on my ceiling. Decisions, decisions.
