I have decided to walk to Sweet Mandy B's, a bakery about two miles away. I should have more than enough time to walk there and back and then go to Jenny's hair appointment (pre-bridal test . . . thingee). Also, it will justify the cupcakes I am planning on getting. Also, I am having people over on Monday night and they will make a good dessert, I think. Something I can quarter or half and then serve. They should keep. Assuming I don't eat them first. Which, well, no guarantees. I mean, I'm walking four miles! I'll need energy!

*whistles innocently*

ps- I will never, *ever* be able to spell 'gUARAntees'. This is my lot to bear. Woe.

pps- last night I was up until 3:00am reading S/B fic and S/X fic. Such a wonderful way to pass time.

And now I want a cinnabon. And a cupcake. Luckily I don't yet know where to find a cinnabon in the 'hood, so I can't indulge the way I *really* want to. Mmmm, buttery, cinnamony, icing-y goodness.

Do they have crispy cremes there? Do you know they don't here in Eugene, Oregon, and I have NEVER had one!?

You've never had Krispy Kreme? That breaks my heart. I know they have one out in Rosemont because, well, I got them when I went to the con where I met JM but also so other mad cool lj peeps and it brought me joy and didd you know that at a lot of them, while you are waiting in line, they just *give* you one to eat! Like a full sized donut sample?!?! It is the best ever. Other people think they aren't that much better, or even worse, than Duncan Donuts. Other people are wrong. But I don't know if they have any in Chicago proper. And I just moved to Chicago from New York and apparently, right after I left, they closed ALL of the Krispy Kremes. O.o

They have 'em in Portland. That's only an hour-and-a-half drive for a donut!

Honestly, they're not worth the hype. I prefer a good old-fashioned from Dunkin' Donuts. :)

Oh, man. Sweet Mandy B's is *love*. I used to work in that neighborhood and would walk over there occasionally. They have the best whoopie pies ever.

Dude. Just eating their samples while in line gave me such glee. And since I walked over I have no guilt about the cupcake with green icing I am going to enjoy after dinner. Mmmmm,
