Okay, in other news, I was declined for a Banana Republic card. Again. WTF? I just got a new credit card *and* I just rented an apartment which both show that I am not in bad credit (well, the apartment, anyway). But I applied and I got a "F U Sukka" and I'm all irked. The last time I applied I got a note from BR saying that they couldn't verify my address which fine. This time I don't know. All I know is that it is annoying and I am not going to try again for a good long while because I think having multiple declines is not so very good for the old credit report. So no.

But I was feeling irritation so I came home and went for a peddle. It was lovely. I was gone for about 45 minutes to an hour (I didn't bring a watch) and I went north through Lincoln Park until it seemed to stop, then cut over to the lake side trail and went up to Belmont. Then I turned around and came home. It was lovely and cleared my head and made me happy. And I realized that I don't need to go super-duper fast or anything. As long as I keep peddling at a decent rate and I'm comfortable I am getting exercise. I can push when I am more used to it. Right now it is all about the ride.

And screw Banana Republic. You don't want to shop there anyway (well, maybe you do, but you should pretend that you don't). Being declined for credit cards is never fun.

Hey nb--Sorry to hear about the Banana misfortune. Maybe it's not because you have bad credit, but because you have high balances. In any case, eff 'em. They're overpriced anyway and you don't want that 20% interest hanging over your head! xox Chefty

I concur. Individual store credit cards are waaaay crazy high interest rates. And it's not like they don't take VISA.
