Work is nuts in a not good way and I am very poor and miss New York.

Now that *that* is out of the way, LOOK! I have pictures! And soon they will even be captioned!

This is about two months worth, 23 in all. Highlights include:

* me and boy looking sweaty and kind of gross

* turtle sex

* my view

* my pink closet

* the back seat of my mom's car as I we prepared for the drive home.

So Run! Don't walk! And see my apartment and some Chicago and New York pics! Fun! Exciting! A good five minute time-killer!

Today I went to Target. Today, on a Sunday, at ten in the morning, I went to Target.

Clearly I have lost my mind. I still don't have a shower curtain or shelf thing to put over the sink, but I do have a garbage can, 3-qt pot and set of tongs. Mostly a success. Then I went to a nifty vintage shop and found a pretty lamp. The I returned four sets of post cards that are *not* going to be used as "save the date" cards for Jenny's wedding. Then I went to Trader Joe's. And now I am home.

Quite a full day, I must say.

On Wednesday I had a small dinner party which consisted of my family, soon to be family, and friend who lives in the building. I made beer-battered fish tacos, and I don't mind saying they were the greatest beer-battered fish tacos EVER!!! I don't know how. I don't know why. But dude, I killed with those tacos. I am the champion, my friend.

Last night I went roller blading for the first time in about forever. It was wonderful but for the part where the WHOLE WORLD was at the beach and people had no problem using the bike trail to teach their children to ride a bike or stroll along like it was their own personal Lover's Lane. HATE!!! But I didn't fall or accidentally-on-purpose plow into anyone so that's good. Less good was when it started to rain. Less good than that were the bugs. Swarms of them. Fruit flies and their ilk, I'm thinking, as I am not covered in an host of mosquito bites. Thank god.

ETA: This is a picture I took for ghoulchick, I think, because she mentioned lawn decorations a few months ago. Brooklyn is the reigning champ with over-the-top lawn fashion. This place is subtle compared to some. And lets not talk about the holidays . . .

Right? That house is nuts-o! I thought of it as soon as you mentioned lawn decor. Alas, I did not take a picture of the house with the koi pond. Their yard is roughly the same size. And koi, as you know, are indigenous to Brooklyn. *rolls eyes*

Pictures = fun. But I think I saw a yard here in Georgia that puts that one to shame. (And I could've bought a ton of mirror balls mighty cheap this afternoon, too.)

No, no, I jest. Mirror balls are fun on the very rare occasion. Like a disco party.

And can I tell you, I totally believe it. There was a house around the corner from my stupid ex that was so decked out for Christmas and Halloween that you practically couldn't see house. And they map out trails and stuff on Halloween so that the trick or treaters don't trip over a headstone and actually break their neck. It's unbelieveable.
