I had four sick hours that I had to use or I would lose them and so today I took them and left at 11:30. That was swell. Then I came home, made Annie's Shells & Cheese and fell asleep for three hours!!!

I have to stop taking these long naps in the middle of the day. Okay, mostly it's a weekend thing but still. I might self medicate tonight if I can't sleep. Just benadryl, mind, but I don't want to. Maybe I'll sleep even though I've slept a lot.

I'm moving in two weeks. Holy Stromboli.

Seven more days of work.

I finished the new Dresden book. Loved it.

I would almost think that New York Magazine has something against the Ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods in Brooklyn, but for the fact that one article was a result of a recent event and the other they have been working on for a while. Just random coincidence.

I'm seeing the Go-Gos on Friday. And then going to a Spring/Birthday party on Saturday. And then the zoo on Sunday. And, theoretically, packing. And culling. Maybe I'll go throw stuff out *right now!* Or maybe I'll makes some eggs with spinach and mozzarella (fresh!)

Trader Joe's is dead to me.

Meep! Two weeks! And I have a whole long post in my head, but getting it to paper (well, computer) might take a bit. I thought it was great and a lot tighter than Dead Beat, which I also loved, don't get me wrong. And I like that it's tying in a lot of stuff from early in the series. I want book nine *now!*

I know. I need to pack. It's good for what ails me. And yet, I just can't get there. Yet. Panic is an excellent motivator. 9? Two weeks *is* am amazingly short amount of time. The panic can set in any moment now . . .

Hi! My name is AngelChicken and I am *losing my mind!*

Have you read them? They rock! They are fun, light reading that isn't just a whisp of smoke- they have substance and ethical issues and snark- my GOD the SNARK! Truly brilliant.

What did Trader Joe's do to you? And which zoo? Have a wonderful time, whichever one it is. Too bad you won't be at the Bronx Zoo Saturday. We could meet up after my interview.

TJ's sold me moldy mini-pitas which, when is a spectacularly bad mood, is just the thing to end the relationship *immediately*. Because I was in a wretched mood. And I was going to make salmon salad for lunch to eat on mini-pitas from Trader Joe's. And then I looked and they all had green mold on them. I bought them on SUNDAY!!! *STABS*

Clearly I am not over it yet . . .

Ooooh, gross. How vile of them. I hate when that happens. It usually happens to me with veggies, cherry tomatoes that are already mush when I open the container and stuff. And it's never worth going back over, so I just stew. So...vent away. You've earned it.

Right? I think maybe I've officially decided that Trader Joe's is all show and no content. There is nothing there that I couldn't get elsewhere. And it's not expensive, but sometimes with the more expensive stuff, you actually get what you pay for. Instead of moldy mini-pitas.

I like TJ's for certain things, but it's very limited in what it offers, so I use it sparingly these days.

Ah, Bronx Zoo. I went to Fordam for undergrad, so I have Bronx Zoo love above all others. Dude, we totally could've. How sad is it that this Sunday is the first time *all month* that the people I'm going with an I could match schedules? Being a grown-up is trying, yo.

Bummer! It's my favorite zoo in the whole world, hence my attempt to volunteer. I'll leave it nice for you. How's that?

Yes! Zebra-Bottomed-Horsey-Things! And I always forget their name, but the ZBHT is locked up in the ol' cranium, so redubbed, they are. Hee!

From: [identity profile] nutmeg3.livejournal.com
Now I'm going to think of them as ZBHTs, damn you. *g*

From: [identity profile] angelchicken.livejournal.com
Well, everyone will know what you are talking about, then. Really! I talk about the ZBHT and no one has to aks. Because they have a zebra bottom and they look like a horse, sort of! =D

My work here is done.
