Dear Flist (part 1),

I'm thinking of fasting. Nothing überfancy or severe, but a 24 hour fast involving water and maybe tea. Any advice you could offer would be most appreciated.

Much love,

AC

Dear Right Shoulder,

Alright! I get it! You hurt! But other than stretching and advil what exactly do you expect me to do about it?

With frustruation,

Dear Gem Ident,

If I had known you were going to be this interesting I would have totally started you last year and leasurely made my way through instead of tearing my way through in a mad rush to get you done by the end of May.

Slightly blinded,

AC

Dear Flist (part 2),

It occurs to me that I may be more bored at work because I haven't read totally captivating, epic fic in many a moon and so I have nothing to let my mind wander to when I get so bored. So I ask: have you any recs? Buffy Fandom, S/B or S/X please. QaF (B/J) would be ace, too.

Thank you my dears,

AC

Dear Thursday,

Why aren't you Friday?

Annoyed,

AC

Doesn't your metabolism slow down when you fast and stuff? Or is that just the excuse I give myself for not doing it? ;)

I'm pretty sure it does- to conserve nutrients. Actually a 24 hours fast isn't for weight or physical health. Those are, like, days or weeks. Far too long to go without food if you're me!

Dear Thursday,

Why aren't you Friday?

Heh. I write this letter to every day of the week every day of the week. They never answer. Bastards.

QaF (B/J) would be ace, too.
Anything in particular? Because I'm pretty sure I can hook you up :)

Mostly schmoopy and well written. I have read Blind!Justing and Brain tumor!Justin and Justin taking over for Brian and they all make me happy. Also, I seem to like h/c when Justin is hurt. Possibly 'cause he hurts so pretty?

Hi. My list got COMPLETLEY OUT OF CONTROL OMG!! And too long to put in a comment, so it's here -- more b/j recs than you'll ever have time for, and me already thinking of some I forgot to add. And heh, my own tendency is toward angst and h/c Brian, but I did try to remember that I was rec'ing for you. Anyway, have at, and feel free to call me crazy.

Hey, speaking of fic...did I make this up, or didn't you start some kind of S/X AU fic once upon a time? Cause I bet that could totally occupy your time. *g*

Um, fic recs...do you want canon stuff? AU? Guilty pleasure crack fic that I'll be kind of embarrassed to admit I'm reading? Right off the bat, I can rec everything that [livejournal.com profile] st_salieri's written. It's all in her memories. You could also check out [livejournal.com profile] seasonal_spuffy which is going on right now, and there's a bunch of new fics there.

Heh. You remember that? I did and it, well, kind of fizzled. But maybe that would be a fun way to occupy my thoughts.

Mostly I want good fic. It doesn't have to be canon (I still lament the slow but sudden (it's always sudden) death of [livejournal.com profile] buffy_au) and for some reason I'm not a huge fan of pre S5 stuff. Unless it's high school AU which is totally different. But thank you for the recs! And I completely forgot about [livejournal.com profile] seasonal_spuffy! Excellent!

Okay, I've been reading an embarassing amount of AU lately, so I can totally help you out there. Spuffy Realm in general is crackalicious, if you just want to look around. For specific authors? Anything by Brat will suck you in. White Lie, Do Right By Me, Roomies, all being especially addictive. Also? I know it sounds bad, but Winter's Storm is actually really good. Like 5 people had to rec it to me before I finally caved, and I'm so glad I did. And finally, for something actually set in the Buffyverse, I like all of [livejournal.com profile] thedeadlyhook's stuff. And if you haven't, you should totally check out everything by Europanya.

If you freeze your liquids ... it's not totally cheating.

That, my friend, is true. You are wise. And you have a funny icon.

I've done thirty hour famines before, so I might be able to help? What do you want to know?

Basically, I am such a beginner and I don't want to do anything to make me feel worse. I am not a very spiritual person, but this would mostly be a spiritual thing- like meditation without all the sitting around clearing your mind stuff which I would suck at. I don't know what to eat before and after. And what i should drink during that time. And if I had a fruit shake during the fast would that count as a liquid or solid? I don't want to cheat, but I don't want to be completely miserable. This isn't a physical health or weight thing. It's more for my head.
