A kiss is still a kiss . . .

Happy Valentine's Day!

This has been done before in about a million different ways, but never by me. So I'm going to do it now. Play along, of your so inclined.

Movie kisses. I just read an article on them and they mention all of these classic movie kisses and I agree with 'em all. But there is one specific kiss that is seared into my brain and the "perfect" kiss. The kiss that I have been striving, with different levels of success, to attain since I saw it. A kiss that made me sit up and say: OH! That's what everyone means!

This kiss:

Some Kind of Wonderful. Keith (Eric Stoltz) has, incredibly, landed a date with Amanda Jones (Lea Thompson). Amanda Jones! He is discussing this miraculous turn of events with his best friend Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson) and she idly mentions The KIss. As in, what'll you do when it comes to the kiss. She works up his nerves and then gallantly offers herself for practice.

And I turn to mush. The chemistry and the shot when her fingers curl. The way they both are so into it, like everything else has stopped.

That is my perfect movie kiss.

(It doesn't only have to be the one. Tell me a few! I know I have more, but this is my epitome kiss. The top of the scale. I'm wibbling just thinking about it. *sigh*)

Not so much a kiss as before the kiss but the scene in It's A Wonderful Life when she's on the phone with whatsisface over seas and George is standing there and there's so much UST you could cut it with a k-nife.
