It has officially been one week since I had a cigarette! I am smoke free! (though I still use the gum. But usually only 3 or four times a day. Not every freaking hour, like the box suggests).

And- I love the express DMV on 34th street. Best government office ever. I got there at 7:15 this morning (and unintentionally discovered that there is a 6:45 train into the city) so I was third in line. And I got in and out of there in less than ten minutes so I was still on time for work! It opens at eight so I stood outside (thank goodness it's a nice day thus far) reading Spike/Giles fic. Yes. Spike/Giles. I have discovered that good Spike fic is good Spike fic, no matter the pairing.

And I am not tired (which will most likely change soon). I went to bed at ten last night and woke up at five (unintentionally. I set my alarm for six). So I lay in bed for a while just chilling, then got up a few minutes before my alarms and I was awake. This is a very strange thing. If the sky turns orange and the earth starts rotating backwards I won't be surprised.

Dude. You have no idea. Thank you, though. It really sucks, often. It's not so much the smoking i miss as the act of lighting a cigarette and that first, perfect drag. Gah. Why am I doing this?

Congratulations, that's awesome! I've decided I'm going to quit after the wedding (too stressful to give up now.) I saw something on the Today that kind of freaked me out. It's funny, I see all the warning labels and know all the health risks, and then one piece of information skewed just the right way..... scared me to death.

So anyway, good job! You give me hope that I can do it.
