So I didn't actually mean to go two weeks without posting but, truthfully, I have nothing to say. I've been kind of blah lately. Going on walks. Yesterday I rollerbladed and got reacquainted with the blister on my instep. I also bought moleskin - finally - so maybe in the future I will win the war on blisters. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Holy fucking hell, I can't believe he killed Wash. I was *so* not expecting that! And the theatre wasn't all that crowded but the gasp was everywhere. I happened to be leaning against boy and when that happened I may have bent his arm in an unnatural way but I don't think I caused any permanent damage.

Overall, I adored it. I loved how *Joss* it was: the sudden flash of the Reavers, the randomly inserted humor, the Power Shot of River standing over a sea of dead Reavers holding a blade and an axe. Dude.

And I really thought Book was going to be 'the death'. I was so unprepared for Wash.

Loved everyone. Will see it again, definitely. Wish I had more to say on it, but it's Sunday night and I am mentally preparing for the week. I'm pretty sure I'll have more later, but my overall, initial reaction was OMGLOVE!!!!!

Really, I think that's it. OH! No, that's not it. [livejournal.com profile] queenofdenile and [livejournal.com profile] sodanyc! I am very much thinking of you because on Monday I started reading The Fellowship of the Ring and I guess skipping the Prologue was the right thing to do because I am totally into it and I've already finished the first Book of Fellowship and today I went to a used bookstore and bought The Two Towers and The Return of the King and I am LOVING it.

This is very unexpected because I have seriously tried reading it about a half a dozen times and have never been able to get into it. I'm so pleased to have finally broken through.

Also, random poll:

The bed thing I am just curious about. I have a full sized bed and I love it. I had a twin until about two years after college and that was sucky. I love to starfish and a full is good for that. I'd probably go to a Queen, though, if I got another bed. My parents had a King sized bed and that was perfect for a family of five during a bad thunderstorm. =)

Also, I am having a kind of deodorant crisis. I have used Soft & Dri for years and loved it, but I'm feeling like it's just not getting the job done anymore. I've tried Secret, but I'm not loving it. So I need suggestions. Help me, my friends, so that I will not stink!

[Poll #581906]

And now I am going to continue reading Sports Night slash. I miss that show so much. And it's fifty bucks for the whole series on Amazon. Hmmm . . .

Oh, and I forgot to mention...I'm a solid girl. The only real deodorant rules I have are no invisible solids, roll-ons, or gels. I feel like they all turn to slime. I've been thinking about trying spray though.

Full bed at the moment, but I'm shopping for a new bedroom set and it looks like I'll move to a queen.

I thought I'd add on to my deodorant two cents that I work outside in Texas, where it's stifling hot a good ten months out of the year (here it's October already and still 95 degrees out) and this new Adidas stuff does a pretty good job keeping my pits stank-free.

If only there was a decent body deodorant because at the end of the day, the rest of me is pretty smelly.

I should add that I read in Shape (or somewhere similar) that the new Ban deodorant is supposed to be really good.

I agree with everything you said about Serenity. Yay, but eeek! But yay!

I started reading The Fellowship of the Ring and I guess skipping the Prologue was the right thing to do because I am totally into it and I've already finished the first Book of Fellowship and today I went to a used bookstore and bought The Two Towers and The Return of the King and I am LOVING it.

I may have just shed a tear or three of joy.

Sports Night slash! I don't think I've read any of that. But you should invest in the DVDs. They're so worth it. ::cuddles them::

I have a double bed here at school for the first time ever (it's TOO big), but I'm used to my good ol' twin bed at home. It's more comfy!!
