angelchicken1) Took test on Monday. In-fucking-sane. The most obscure questions in the history of obscurity. Black holes wish they could suck as much as this test did.
2) That being said,I can say - with absolute certainty- that I have no clue how I did. Usually, I take a test, I have a general gist. This time? Not so much. I could have gotten an 80. I could have gotten a 50.
3) Though I am reassured by the fact that I could not have been more prepared. I studied from 10am to 12:30 am on Saturday and 7:30am to 10:30 pm on Sunday. I made a HUGE spreadsheet. I reread and went over flash cards. I studied during my breaks. So if I don't pass, it is totally the test. it ain't me.
4) I was in a crap-tastic mood today, but then I went to bug Vinny about my test. I didn't get the results, but I DID find out that I have the second best prelim grader quality/quantity scores. Yes. Of all the prelimmers in the lab (of which there are many) I'm number TWO!
HOLY SHIT! HOW FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't even say how much that pleases me. There are no words. Oh. And my qual/quan:
quantity: 22.6
Quality: 88
That. I mean. I'm just beside myself. And I thought that was good. Really. But the people I talked about it with were all "oh yeah, that's good" but no one had the reaction I was hoping for until Hot Anthony (remember him? Trinidad? Hot?) brought it up while I was badgering Vinny. And he told me I was number two.
Dude. this makes my week. Year, even.
Now if only I pass this test . . . .
5) Needing to recover from my stress of the test on Monday I decided that I should watch some old Buffy while ceremoniously putting away all my study crap. And, since I was in the mood for a bit of evil Spike, I went with School Hard and The Harsh Light of Day.
And its funny (and my opinion, FYI) but for some reason Spike’s progression was seamless to me.
I could totally buy him being all Evil Mc Baddypants and then trying to change and then actually changing and then becoming ensouled. Old evil Spike seems just as much “Spike” to me as Soul-having Spike. Even “pre-soul I’m in love with Buffy” Spike
They’re all Spike and they all work.
I kind of love that. :)
6) You know what else I love? The panther crawl. Yum
7) And I realized that I don’t really feel bad for Harmony because she totally gets off on Spike being a dick to her. Yes, I know this is debatable, but she turns his tantrums into seductions without effort and so, you know, there is that.
7) One of these days I will remember to take off my glasses before I drain pasta.
8) Why do they have to send the damn test all the way to California to be graded when there is a perfectly good education department just a few blocks away?
9) When I do Gem Ident. I get to bering the pretty sparklies home. Whee!
10) You know how when you’re walking or grading stones or doing something else kind of mindless you start thinking about random things and it becomes “Hey! I should put that in my LJ!” and you start to mentally compose the post, and then, when you get to a computer, you have no clue what you were thinking about?
Yeah
11) Snow! Pretty!
12) I heard some Season one Smallville this weekend as it was playing in the background while I was studying. So Adam Brody really worked the WB circuit pre OC, huh?
13) Sometimes, when I am having a crappy day, or feeling particularly down on myself, I will judge my self worth by how well I play Freecell. “Damnit, AC, what good are you? You can’t even win at Freecell!” Then, when I am not feeling crappy I’ll think about how when I am feeling crappy and play I judge my self worth by it and mentally “loser” myself. But with humor.
14) The other day I held a 96ct fancy intense yellow stone. Pretty! Big!
15) I think now I will go and read all the fic I didn’t read over the weekend because I was studying for the Insane Test From Hell (patent pending)
