Wow. New Update thingie. Neat.

I am slothly, and feel like updating, so I'm thinking list. I like lists. They're all succinct and shit. Well, unless I make them. Then they tend to ramble.

Anyway, on to the list!

1) I have two dark purple bruises on my knee, each about the size of a dime. Unlike most bruises, I know were these come from. The are from my graceful descent to the floor from, uh, something higher than the floor, by way of the plastic drawers I use as a night stand. They are remarkable only in that I didn't think that the plastic night stand could do suck damage. How 'bout that?

2) I have a hole. It's in my bathroom. It's been there since Monday. Hi hole! And it's not just a little peeper hole, either. It's a big mamma-jamma. Like two by three feet. It is in the ceiling directly above my shower so I can wash my hair and contemplate the underside of the floor above mine all at the same time. I have seen the future, and it is here.
Every day I come home and there is a new note from Andrew, the fix it guy. Actually, yesterday there was Andrew. Hi Andrew! He told me that he fixed everything, but then a pipe broke and so he now had to fix that pipe and then could fix the hole. Fortunately this had no effect on my shower, but the kids upstairs were unable to bath for 24 hours. Suckers. It should, in theory, be fixed tomorrow. We'll see.

3)

Holy crap, that was an intense movie. Insanely good, but intense. I can't believe Ellen Barken (Barken? There are two Ellens and I always get them confused) didn't get the Oscar for that role. Her performance was staggering. And Jared Leto and Marlon Waynes and Jennifer Connelly were wonderful as well. But Ellen was extraordinary.

Today, at work, I would randomly just think of her at some point of the film and my breath would catch. So, so powerful. I had to call my mom half way through to make sure she knew she was loved and needed and didn't need to change anything to be the perfect mother she is. And to stay away from the diet pills.

One thing, though: What was the third thing? One was "No read meat", two was "No refined sugar" and three was a big ol' tease! Did I miss it? Did we ever find out? Were we meant to assume something?

Jebus, everyone should see this movie. My mom thinks it should be required High School viewing.

4) Some kids just walked by singing "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. Okay.

5)

Luke+Lorelei=4eva.

Rory can suck an egg. I am sick of her and her snit. Dude. You slept with a married man. How horrible that your mother is concerned by that! Wifey isn't even the issue, except that she exists and is a wife. Grow up, chickee.

Sebastian Bach on Gilmore Girls. As himself. The most perfect casting ever.

Dean sucks. I hate him. I want him to be Bobbitted. Suck an egg, Dean.

6) [livejournal.com profile] miggy posted something about knowing you're a psych major because living in ID gives you a squee. I further that by asking: When you are typing quickly and accidentally type 'id' instead of 'is' is your subconscious trying to tell you something? This is a question I have had for years. Because I, too, can be a geeky psych major. And I make myself laugh, damn it.

7) New Lost! Woo Hoo! Well, new as in it's never actually been aired so it's new like the series premier as opposed to new like a new ep, though I suppose it's a new ep, too. Also, Veronica Webb, which I am mildly interested in and CSI:NY which I am also interested in, except that it is on past my bedtime. We shall see. I am looking forward to Kevin Hill. Because Taye Diggs with a baby? Good and good with a side of good.

8) I had an actually celebrity sighting today! That never happens to me! And it was a good one (as opposed to Michael Moore or Miss Yvonne from Peewee's playhouse or even Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider and David Spade in Central Park, though that was pretty cool). Today, as I was crossing Houston to get to the Broadway-Lafayette 'F' station who do I see but Julianne Moore! She was walking in the other direction, but I double taked and it was totally her and she is gorgeous! Whee!

9) Tooth is still not great. Woke me up in the middle of the night. Throbbing. Frantic early morning calls to dentist to make sure that I'm not infected to the point that it will seep into my brain and cause an aneurysm. He told me that if there's no swelling I should be fine. Felt reassured, but did randomly accost people throughout the day to make them tell me if I looked swollen anywhere on my face. I have discovered that I do look a bit swollen in the lower right portion, which is . . . interesting. But hey, at least it's not the upper left part of my mouth. Whew. Am still with the Vicodin, though only half a pill at a time so as not to become a raging drug addict like in "Requiem for A Dream".

Ahh! Time for Lost! Away I go!

Sebastian Bach on Gilmore Girls.
--That is as in "18 and Life," yes? Cos, I saw his name but I didn't get to watch the show. And if it was. Yay. Is he still pretty? I'd actually been thinkng o fhim earlier because the lead singer from Poison was on an old ep of Yes, Dear and for a moment I thought it was Sebastian Bach because he (Poison guy) seemed too pretty. Right then. /stops rambling/

She was walking in the other direction, but I double taked and it was totally her and she is gorgeous!
--:strongly agrees: She's got that simple pretty thing going on that looks so good on people as opposed to the painted on pretty that a lot of people go for.

I liked Requiem for A Dream. I don't remember anything that happened, except that I liked it. But I like Jesus' Son more.

Sebastian Bach is a recurring character. He's not really playing himself, though.
