Something I learned today. James Marsters' siblings have the same names as my parents (Susan and Paul, in case you were curious). I find that odd. Why, I don't know. They're popular enough names. But Susie and Paul are mom and dad. Strange.

Yesterday I got home from work, as I do, and was startled to see that the two large trees in front of my building had been . . . removed. Morning: trees. Evening: no trees. This upsets me. They were healthy and beautiful and big and I liked them there. And now they're gone. Also, they were, for all intents and purposes, my blinds, as adding blinds to my windows is something I've been meaning to get around to for the last, er, five years. I reluctantly understand the reasoning behind the assassination, as if the trees fell, well, apartment building go boom, but it still sucks. Good thing I'm moving at the end of the summer.

Today I did three hours of homework. Go me. Unfortunately it caused great pain in my right hand (being the writing hand) so I, um, got out my Pocket Rocket to try and vibrate away a bit of the pain. And it worked. WooHoo! Plus, it made homework a little . . . sexy.

I have officially made over 250 index cards/flash card thingees. I know this because I bought a 250 pack of index cards and now they're all gone. And I'm only on chapter four of 27. Oy.

Last night I went to dinner with two of my train friends, which was a treat as I rarely see them. Matt was telling a wee story about how a girl at work was saying he was old enough to be her father, which also made him old enough to be my dad, provided he procreated young. He's 45 and Mary's 48. I referred to the rest of the night as dinner with the parents, much to their chagrin. Hey, Matt brought it up.

Went to the eye doctor. Getting new glasses. Gucci frames that look good with hair down and up which is very important. I still have the best vision ever (or almost. 20/20 right eye, 20/30 left, which makes sense as I am seriously right side dominant. Exhibit A: my gimp left hand which is good for, uh, holding things. And twirling a stone holder).

They had to do the glaucoma test, like, ten times, but dude, they kept trying to puff air in my eye!

Vision insurance is the best invention ever. A $450 appointment (including lenses, frames and exam) ended up being $120 thanks to discounts and coverage and stuff. Life is beautiful. Like my glasses.

Oh, glasses are for muscle strain. Was at one point convergence insufficient. Now convergence excess. And something else that'll make it easier to look from 'scope to diamond and computer. Whee!

So, there's my week in bullet points. Well, asterisk points. Exciting, no? Not going out tonight because of a serious lack of funds. It's a sad state of my union when I am pissed that I can't work on Saturday's to get the overtime. Grr. Oh well. Soon

OH! And stone count? 24. Oh yeah, I'm good. And I am now in my new seat. Sent to the skies by mama bird where we will either fly or fall. I'm soaring, yo.

And finally, New Yorkers. You know that radio commercial for oil heat that has two contrasting music styles for 'clean' and 'heat'? Then they combine them?

Am I the only one who loves the music? I want it to listen to over and over and over.

I Used To Love Her!!! Yes, I was so very right about that Irish thing. Um, except I couldn't remember the name of the song. Dadgummit. And I should have known the Sarah McLachlan one, too. I did know the lyrics, I just...didn't know the song. *weeps for myself*
