Oh, now *that's* comforting

Jebus. I *finally* get online after AOL is all asshatty and the first thing I see, when everything has been booted up?
"Construction workers and pilots have highest mortality" under the headline "Top 10 most dangerous jobs".
Good Lord, like flying didn't stress me out enough. And it doesn't matter that the pilots are usually manning puddle jumpers and crop dusters or that Alaskan pilots (yeah, I'm looking at you, Maggie) tend to skew the statistics (apparently they take off in clear weather, happen upon a cloud which - oops! - masks a mountain).
It said, plain as day, pilots have dangerous jobs.
I will never set foot on a plane again. Except for the times that I have to fly.
Today was a full day of wild boredom, sprinkled with moments of dragging dullness and a hint of ennui.
And, as predicted, I was reminded to get up a bit earlier so that Dina "doesn't have to do everything herself" *cue annoying Betty Rubble type laugh.
But, as my mom was so kind to point out, at least I am bored and making money. Woo Hoo! I'm still not sure how I'm going to pay my discover card and cell phone bills on time, but oh well. I'll figure something out. Damn it.
