I can't get that rassafrassen "Milkshake" song out of my head and now I reeeeeeeeally want one. Despite the bitter, bitter cold. Mmmmm, milkshake.
So, the reasons behind my totally wussy, not taking a stand in any way decision to give notice instead of just flat out quitting:
1) It isn't me. I hate it there, and I would still feel such guilt over leaving them in the lurch.
2) It certainly makes me look good.
3) Bridges? Not burned. Though I hope to god I never have to cross them again.
4) Wuss
But it's okay. And it's surprising how much I don't care about work now that I am officially officially leaving. WooHoo!
There is so much I could do tonight! Yet so little I feel like doing.
I could:
Wash dishes
Work on Spander fic
Work on Giles fic
Read Roots
Read The Di Vinci Code
Read 1984
Clean
Watch a movie
Watch Carnivale
And more.
But I just found a new Spuffy AU fic and I think I will just read that. Spike is a Rock star.
And I have to say, I have no problem seeing Spike as a rock star in an AU fic despite the fact I have seen JM in concert (dur pretty). I can separate fiction from reality. When it is for the greater good.
I think I'll make s'mores.
And not think about telling my head hunter that I am not leaving yet, despite my panicked call last week, and that I am not taking a job through them, despite all they have done for me.
I suck.
Question of the day (because of
scaryveinybb's post:
Is Vegemite really a savory spread?

Date: 2004-01-26 06:38 pm (UTC)Vegemite does have some vegie extracts but its basically concentrated yeast extract. It is absolutely nothing like peanut butter. I'm not sure whether it's available in the US or not - you might also try looking for Marmite or Promite, the British versions which are similar but different (Vegemite is much richer and saltier and also, tastier).
