Questions, comments, concerns
Jan. 10th, 2004 12:03 pmYesterday I totally forgot to mention the really cool thing I saw!
I was going to get bagels/donuts and I went through the concourse under Rockefeller Center to get to the Krispy Kreme/Hot & Crusty place.
For those of you that don't know, the concourse is under Rockefeller Center and it is like a basement that connects all of the Rock. Center buildings. And, if I actually took the subway, I would be able to get to it without going outside. There are shops and restaurant and stuff down there and it is the same level as the Rock. Center skating rink. I notice, as I walk past the rink, that a lot of people are looking at a skater on the ice. So, being a lemming, I too look over. And who is skating?
Scott Hamilton!!!!!!!!!
Now, I admit, I am not a huge, Buffy-sized skating fan, but I know some of the big ones. And there was the crush on Paul Wylie in High School. But yesterday I saw Scott Hamilton skate. And that is freaking cool. Sadly, I didn't see his backflip because he was hidden behind a counter at that point, but the rest I saw and it was neat-o. I guess he was on the Today Show.

Last night I read about half of The Da Vinci Code. I wasn't planning on reading that much, but I got hit with the acid reflux, so I was awake for a bit (huh. don't have it for months then three times in as many weeks. Christmas night, New Years Eve (well, technically day) and last night. Curious. Thinking about them, the one thing they all have in common is that I ate a whole bunch on all three days. Though not yesterday day. I ate most of a bagel and a donut yesterday day. But last night I gorged on Thai food to make up for the not eating much during the day. Le sigh). Note to self: Stop eating so much at night.

If you are on the computer and accidentally type "id" instead of "is" is your subconscious trying to tell you something?

New York has mysteriously been relocated to the Frozen Tundra of Canada. It's the only possible explanation/excuse for the mocking one degree that was being broadcast on my telly this morning. Evil.

Last night I watched my first episode of Dead Like Me. It was okay. Didn't particularly love it, but it passed the time. I meant to watch Monk, but was caught up in the no commercialness of DLM and also, the toilet seat tree. It's a thing.

I know there is more, but I can't think of it. It sucks being a woman about once a month, I don't plan on leaving the apartment anymore today, laundry be damned, and I got a ten minutes for ten dollars backrub this morning which was keen, except on the little chairs it is difficult to get the lower back which is where most of my ache is. Oh well. Still a nice little rub.
And now to search of scans of the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper by Da Vinci on the web.

Date: 2004-01-10 02:50 pm (UTC)Plus, Scott Hamilton!! Wow.
Rhode Island is even colder than New York today, I checked the weather channel. And our water pipes FROZE. We had to borrow the landlord's little kerosene heater thingy.
The toilet tree IS funny. The fact that she died because she got hit on the head when a seat fell on her. Hahaha.
My partner just got her period and she is already going around the house saying 'I hate my period'. I hate mine, too, when it is here. *sympathy*
