And he shall reign for ever and eh-ever!

The best way to describe the performance last night. Wonderful. Just wonderful. I loved it so, so much and am so, so happy I went.
And, it may be the best known and therefore kind of looked down on my the Handel snob set, but the Hallelujah Chorus is, G-d, just incredible. I can't even describe it. Everyone stands for the Chorus and the emotion of the National Chorale's performance was phenomenal.
I loved it.
And I loved that I could sort of phase out and just listen, or let me mind wander or anything and I could still experience it.
It was so worth the nine year wait.
Also? Before the show I went to Starbucks and had a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. And an eggnog latte. Because good health always comes first. :)
