Gah! I am going nuts- nuts, I tell you!

I have been freaking trying to freaking download the freaking uncut final scene from Smashed. Yes, that scene. That UNCUT scene for the better part of two hours. I have tried downloading updates of the DivX codec and I am trying to download real media and I want to see the freaking clip! I would whine, but there is no one to here me.

Why isn't it working? It is driving me nutsy-koo-koo, I tell you! Nutsy-koo-koo! I have a Vaio that I got a year and a half ago. Windows XP. And ethernet and stuff (though I don't know if that makes a difference) and I am kinda updated I think. I do all the updates my computer tells me. And I want to freaking watch the sex. For the artistic integrity, of course.

Help?

Is it your copy of Divix? Did you try downloading it from the site of my Tribe Interview? Is it only the spuffy you can't see? Could you see the Tribe interview? Go to my last post and test your copy...Everywhere else I've read has told me that Divix should work.

I had the same problem AC. But after I downloaded the DivX code, I deleted the file that I saved originally and saved it again. Then I played it on RealPlayer One and it worked.

I wish I was more helpful with the technical stuff, but that's what worked for me so you may wanna try it.

Good luck.

I can't get to it either. You figure it out, you hook a sister up?

I was able to download it in about 30 seconds. I used GetRight. I watched it on DivX but I couldn't get any sound. But really, the sound was the last thing I cared about. ;)

I downloaded it fine, but it wouldn't play in Quicktime. (I have a Mac.)

I had to use VLC to play it, just like those annoying MPEGs that only work in Windows XP. But oh well, VLC rules rules RULES.

It is available for a lot of platforms, Windoze, Mac, GNU/Linux, etc. Try it.

There is no sound -- the Buffy.nu people say there isn't supposed to be any.

Ah hell, I wish I could help you out, Sweetie. I've had browser and VCR issues for the past couple weeks so I feel your pain. Stupid, stupid technology.

Erm, that said, I have to now THANK YOU for mentioning the clip in your lj, because ZOWIE! And thank Tru for directing me to RealOne and thank chicken_cem for confirming that there isn't supposed to be any sound. (After I'd already played it in RealOne, DivX and WMP with the volume at full blast.)

Good luck, AC...
