So, I lied to my job. Well, actually, no. I didn't. When I took the days off two months ago I was going to Rhode Island with my family and I was going to be gone from the 14th (today) to the 18th (Monday).

I just didn't mention that the trip was canceled.

But I still wanted the long weekend. So I took and and if I didn't actually tell my boss that I would be chilling in Bayside instead of Watch Hill what's the harm? I still have the vacation days. Ity's not my fault that I happen to be starting a new job in a week and a half. I didn't plan it this way.

Oh. And instead of taking off Monday I am taking off next Friday. So I will be having three long weekends in a row what with this weekend, next weeks long weekend and the Labor Day (How is it already almost Labor Day? I don't understand!)

But the point of my tale is not just to let you all in on the scam, err, modest, painless deception (The minion intern is still there and often bored, so she can do my job) but to explain that the one small teensy weensy problem is that my friend who got me my current job (because he worked there) is always on IM and happens to have my IM ID. You know, the one that pops up if I am signed on? And I am guessing he would be suspicious if I was on line my entire vacation weekend.

So I did the only logical thing. I created a new AOL account. So if anyone is chatty or IM-y or e-mail-y or anything, they can reach me at:

Angelchicken76@aol.com or just plain Angelchicken76 if it is an IM thingie.

That's all.

Now pardon me while I chuckle/laugh maniacally and twirl my tiny mustashe.
