Today is a glorious day. 81 degrees, low humidity, a few fluffy clouds. Really. Just perfect.

Which is obviously why I lost my mind.

"It's so beautiful," I thought, as I was getting ready for lunch, "I should eat outside. It'll be great. There are lots of benches and I can bring a book and I will photosynthesize and maybe get a bit of color. Capital idea, Anne!"

And pleased with myself I packed up mu home made salad and some other food-y odds and ends and traipsed down to the street to find a free spot a bench.

I found it. It was perfect. In the sun, but kind of shaded, among the hubbub of city life, but not to loud or distracting. A nice spot to eat lunch and read. *happy sigh*

Then I became the victim of a pigeon bombing.

Goshdamnfuckingsonofabitchassholeshitfuckfuckingfuckerfuck!!!!!

Well, I wasn't the direct recipient. I just got some of the . . . splash, if you will. On my book. And possibly in my food. I didn't really feel the need to take a chance, though, so everything went into the trash. Two blocks away, as there don't seem to be any trash cans on sixth ave in midtown. Grrrr.

So. Next time you may sense that I am thinking of venturing out into nature again you all have my permission to berate me until I relent.

Stupid pigeon. Stupid six dollar sandwich that I ended up getting because it was relatively healthy.

Plus side? EW tonight! Should be interesting. Or really boring, but profitable.

And I went to bed at 10:30 last night and may have actually slept.

And Blindness is really good, but seriously disturbing.
