Well, this is getting repetitive. The only difference in this week has been that my feet are really sore on the bottoms, like I am walking on really faint bruises. And my lips are really dry, again. The foot thing is no big- I take an advil and I'm fine, and I can live with the lip thing.

Tuesday is my next appointment to pee and get pricked and that's always a joy. I have my list. It's all good.

Oh! And I might - might - have less fatigue. We'll see during the week.

~

I had a lovely weekend in which I didn't work (yay!) did go to the Chocolate Festival in Long Grove (it sucked. Hardly any chocolate! And, yes, the weather wasn't great, but still!. One 800lb block of fudge does not a festival make).

But we went to see on of Fleet's favorite bands, Patchouli and they were awesome, like they were the first time I saw them, on our first date. So that was very nice, indeed.

And then today rocked when we went to the Elmhurst Art Fair to see them again. It was like a whole different show! I mean, they were great yesterday, but it was warm today and there were a lot of people there and Fleet and I had a great time walking the fair (he got stuff. I manfully used restraint) and it was *wonderful!*

And Elmhurst has a Lapidary* Museum which is *so cool!* I didn't go in today, but I have to go back!

And then this evening I went to a cocktail party at a friend's house (they moved in last fall) and it was really cool. The house was built by Frank Lloyd Wright and apparently has no right angles in the design at all. Not even the join from ceiling to wall. Very nifty.

Oh! And I finally saw Fleet's place and it's nice, though a total bachelor pad with many unfinished projects and also cat hair, and I met his very sweet and totally loving cat, Schrödinger, who reminded me of Peekie when she was young and spry. Now she curls up next to me on my bed mostly and sticks her chin over the keyboard when I'm typing so I will pet her.

*loves Peekie*

Tomorrow is the start of a six-day week which is made of yuck. The biggiest downside is the clusterf*ck of big ol' proportions that I know I will have to deal with. Not tomorrow, or even this week, but next week, probably.

It is going to suck. But I'll deal with it. Because I have to. But I am not looking forward to it. BOO!

* A lapidary (the word means "concerned with stones") is an artisan who practices the craft of working, forming and finishing stone, mineral, gemstones, and other suitably durable materials (amber, shell, jet, pearl, copal, coral, horn and bone, glass and other synthetics) into functional and/or decorative, even wearable, items (e.g. cameos, cabochons, and more complex faceted designs).
