Accutane: Week 1

angelchickenWell, I've been on this wacky Accutane for a week now and I think I can already tell that there are changes happening in my bod. Not for the better, mind, but they are there.
Mostly at this point I can tell in my lips. I feel like I am *constantly* putting on Aquaphor (when I was told it would be my new favorite thing they weren't kidding) though often my lips feel so dry that the Aquaphor doesn't necessarily seem to be working. Alas!
But I'll figure it out.
Also, my chin and nose (my biggest problem areas) seemed to be peeling this past week. Nothing huge, but like I had been in the sun a little but too long.
I am still breaking out, alas, though I have expected that, and I am drinking a lot of water, though I don't mind that as water is all good for me.
So, so far so good, though I am under the impression that it gets much worse before it gets better.
And I still haven't heard anything from my insurance company. I called our rep specifically and he didn't even know what accutane was and he asked me about four times why I couldn't get it via mail.
So that sucked.

If I was in the same situation s the man in this picture my reaction would be *very* different.

Last night Fleet came over and we ordered pizza (so good!) and watched Labyrinth and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).
Labyrinth was good though I kept wanting to MST3K and Shakespeare was *brilliant*.
It was a very fun night, indeed. Fleet also made bubble tea and I realized that while the tea was good the bubbles *really* aren't my thing. Like mochi, they have a weird texture that really puts me off. But now I know.

Work yesterday was d-e-d ded and I had the opportunity to talk to my boss about things I *really* needed to talk with him about but I couldn't muster up the energy. I suck. Alas!
And I am taking Tuesday off this week and think I will be taking my mom up on the invitation to go see our house, which is back on the market. The new owners did a ton of work on it when they bought it so it should be interesting.

raebird, at least at first and is definitely worth a try) in that she doesn't have to deal with the taste of it. And if I feed her or give her a treat after it's over she loves me again quite quickly. Huzzah!
Anyway, I didn't get much sleep last night and even though I took a nap this afternoon, I am still kind of groggy. I think I will shower and then stare off into space for a while. Futz about online. Play with the cat. Tomorrow I have an early doctor's appointment and a late doctor's appointment, so I feel that i should be rested up. Or something.
