Things I did and did not do
Jul. 30th, 2006 08:18 pmI did sell my car this week for a cool $200. Yes, if I had sold it four years ago when I brought it back from New York I could have probably gotten a cool six g's. But my mom wanted to hang onto it just in case. So it's been in storage. For three years. There were lice and mice and possibly raccoons nesting in it. Also, moss on the steering wheel. I count $200 as a HUGE gain. I'll miss you Trick.
I did not get a cat. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but then it seemed less so and also, the woman giving it up suddenly said she thought of it as sending a child to Boarding School and she could visit and no.
I did see "The Devil Wears Prada" with my mom and sister. I quite liked it in that I didn't check my watch once. Meryl Streep is fantastic.
I did go out for dinner to a pan-Asian place in Boys Town called Ping Pong.
I did not pay a lot of money for the EXCELLENT meal I had because it was BYOB and so with bringing our own wine the dinner, with six people, came to about $80. Cheaper for me than the cab.
I did not make the connection that we were, in fact, in Boys Town, even though I knew that was where the restaurant was, until I saw many many couples of the gay variety. Right-o, self.
I did work.
I did not enjoy work, especially yesterday when I was with B the Martyr and the Boys Club of SG. Thankfully we were busy so the crappy day went fast.
I did say "fuck it" and just took two Saturdays in a row because I happen to have back to back wedding weekends and I am not willing to give up either. Especially the one in New York which is one of my best friends. And especially the one in Chicago which is a girl I've known my whole life and my sister is her Maid of Honor.
I did talk to H which made me miss New York *so much!*
I did see hundreds of pics from Stupid Ex's wedding last weekend. Yes, Stupid Ex got married. Last weekend. Seeing the pics made me sad, not because I am not married to Stupid Ex (because really? There is not enough NO in the world, but because I saw a lot of pictures of my friends who I miss so much and I want to see them all).
I did buy a cute pair of Jeans (finally).
I did eat a frozen chocolate covered banana from Trader Joe's. Yum.
Okay, I'm tapped. Love and love to all!
