-> Work has been busy the past few days. And a good busy. Yay! I *like* my job when I have stuff to do the whole day. Very satisfying.
-> Went to the dentist on Wednesday for the first of two appointments to get a permanent crown. And while it's wasn't a walk in the park it wasn't all that bad. And it turns out that I still have enough tooth left (and *wow* is that the most depressing way to start a sentence) that they don't need to put in a post which means I save $500 clamatoes! WOO!
-> When at the dentist I asked him about my ear pain (which was better, thank goodness) and he did a bit o' this and that and said it wasn't jaw related. So the crippling pain? So bad I left work early on Monday and scheduled a last minute doctor's appointment Tuesday morning? Phantom. Apparently it doesn't exist because there was nothing wrong. Not cool. If I have pain I want there to be a *cause* and a *solution.* I think that is not too much to ask.
-> But the ear is feeling mucho better though still with a bit of pain. And because of the dental work my jaw and gum line on the left side of me is feeling kind of bruised. It is not a good week to be the left side of my head.
-> Tomorrow I am going to the Art Institute with my mom and sister and brother. It started out with my sister calling me on Tuesday and telling me we should do something cultural on Saturday. I was all, "okay!" Then my mom told us about this show of great art at the Art Institute and then she thought maybe she wanted to go too and Jenny and I were all "okay!" And then we decided that David should go and we told him so and he was free and the only person in my fam who can't go is Jack because he is golfing. Alas! But I am excited to spend the day with my family.
-> And tomorrow night I am hanging out with some friends who want to buy me "just got dumped" drinks. And while I am handling the getting dumped okay, who am I to say no? Also, I like my friends and they are fun to hang out with.
-> On Sunday Jenny, David, Jack and I are taking my mom to brunch. I went after work to Williams Sonoma to get her the panini maker she wants which was fine. But as I am walking in who do I see *walking into the same Williams Sonoma looking for blades for her cuisenart WTF???
Yeah, she knew I was getting it for her - in fact, she told me the exact one she wanted - but what are the odds we were both going to the same store at the same time?
-> Tonight is Looptopia. I am not going. I was thinking about it because it sounded like a giant street festival in Chicago but I don't really think it's like that and I have a big weekend so I want to sleep.
-> I'm rereading The Half Blood Prince and as I get closer to the end I find myself slowing down. I don't want it to end. How am I going to read book seven without utter devastation?
-> NYC in two weeks, w00t!
