I'll get well if it kills me!
Mar. 2nd, 2007 09:43 pmI have a date tomorrow night.
Well, I probably have a date even if I'm not well, but it'd be more fun if I was.
Right now I'm all about the Robitussen, the Advil Cold & Sinus and the Vicks Vap-o-rub.
My that Vicks is some strong stuff. I also took a bath with a eucalyptus and menthol bubble bath. And I'm about to drink some tea that promoted respiratory health (caffieine free!).
Me vs. Germs. And I'm pulling out the big guns.
Also, I'm not afraid to get an antibiotic if need be. Oh no!
Wow, is Vicks really supposed to make you tear like this?
What's concerning, though, is that I can feel the stuff on my chest and throat. And clearly the fumes are there if the tears streaming down my face are any indication. But I can't smell a thing. And I didn't think my nose was that stuffy.
Yeesh!
I had a customer today. I sold him a watch. But he was waffling and taking his time and I had to cough. Seriously. I kept trying to do those polite coughs, not to move him along, but to try to curb the tickle. But I couldn't do it. And I was holding back for, like, fifteen minutes because he kept waffling. And finally - FINALLY - he said yes. And he paid for it and we fitted it and he and his wife were lollygagging their way out the door and I couldn't stand it any more. I quickly hit the release so they could get out, hoped that they'd make it before the door relocked and bolted tot he back where I had a coughing fit the likes I haven't had in *years*. Tears, pain, non-stop for about five minutes.
Yeah, that sucked.
Hence the arsenal tonight.
Wow, I really did just go on about my virus. How wonderful for you.
I'll lick this bad boy, I tell you. Even if I have to self-medicate like a crazy person.
It'd be better, though, if I didn't have to work tomorrow. Oh well.
xoxo and happy health to all.
Stupid cold.
*cough*
