It's *fun* to pretend I have money!
Sep. 16th, 2006 04:13 pmThanks to a mother with a car, a savings account (a sad, sorry, depleted savings account) and credit cards, in the past few weeks I have purchased:
* 75 boxes of Marshall Field's Frango Mints (this was today) because I think they are going to drop the "Marshall Field's" part and they would be excellent gifts for the out of town wedding guests.
* three pairs of black pants
* three cream blouses
* one white blouse
* two cream sweaters
* one pair of gold cowboy boots
* one pair of 3.5 inch heel, tie up the front, knee high, brown fuck me boots
* One pair of Oscar de la Renta ballet flats
* one pair of black heels from Ann Taylor
* one Michale Kors dress coat (okay, this was a present from my mom. But still!)
* one bra (beige)
* two tubes of Vincent Longo lipstick in Cherry- one for my mom and one for my sister, because I was there. I know that my sister will use it, but I gave it to my mom with strict instructions that if she finds that she isn't going to use it she give it back to me IMMEDIATELY. It is a pain to find [see: Lipstick, Quest for] and if they won't restock for many months than I will horde.
And most of it was at DSW or Lori's shoes or Loehmann's or an outlet. So I got a lot, but I saved a lot. I love being frugal but also with the mad spending. It's so win-win.
But now I am prepared for work and have cute shoes and all if that fun stuff. So EMPLOYMENT HOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Okay then.
Er, that's all, mostly. Yesterday I took my mom for dinner at Greek Islands, my most favorite restaurant. It was delicious and surprisingly cheap. Today I went shopping with my friend M. Yesterday I went shopping by myself. Thursday I went shopping with my mother. It's been that kind of week.
Uh, I was going to post a "Hi! This is me!" post for my lovely new friends, but I haven't gotten there yet. But if you have questions, I open the floor! Ask me anything! And I shall answer! Huzzah!
But first I am going to nap (75 boxes of chocolate - even the smallest sample size - are damn heavy. Especially since I purchased them first. Le moron, that is I) and then my brother's roommate's parents are treating my family to dinner. Yay! Free food!
