angelchicken: (Mr. Marsters)
1) So I took a nap and had a really bizarre dream. Really bizarre. And it was a triple crossover, but later in the dream I just shortened it and eliminated one, er, cross.

In the dream the mom from One Day at A Time wakes up and she is in the body of the youngest son (Mark?) from Home Improvement. While he was still young and cute, of course. She is obviously perplexed especially after she finds out Mark (?) was dead or missing or something so Mama Improvement is sobbing with joy and stuff. So she(he) goes over to Wilson who introduces her/him to his friend giles who is chilling in the attic of Wilson's shed researching.

At this point my subconscious decided two things: 1) this would be a really freaking cool fanfic and 2) it would be better to just cut out the mom from ODaaT and just make it Buffy who does the body switch thing-y. So I started to write it in my dream.

Huh,

2) Cool Money! Tonight! WooHoo!

So of course I actually have ot one but two plans tonight that do not involve me sitting in front of the television basking in James Marsters goodness. Well, hotnesss, at least. Curse you, life, for interfering with my fandom!

Actually, my plans should be faboo, too. First I am going to the bar Still on Third and 17th for my roommates birthday party. It starts at nine which is perfect 'cause then I can stay for an hour before I head to my second destination. That destination would be Babbo which is one of the most faboo, foodgasmic Italian restaurants in the whole of NYC (or so I've been told). I am going with A and S and S's boyfriend D and our reservations are for 10:30 (the only time available, even months in advance). I am very, very excited about this. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself to a damn fine dinner, y'know?

Also, I have already set, checked and double checked my VCR so that I can watch the Jamesy goodness in the morning.

3) My doubling trainer says I'm ready for probation (meaning I am ready to be done with training) which lasts for three months. But it means that I will be service completing stones. That is so cool and scary. On the one hand training lasts from 1-3 months and I have been doing it for 1.5 so nice. On the other, holy responsibility, Batman!

Still, it feels good to be thought of as competent. Suck an egg, Dina. Then get yourself hit by a bus.

4) I want to buy The Incredibles. Depending on how much (if any) of the $200 I took out for dinner I have left I might. The short, "Boundin'" is, quite frankly, the best thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I have, in fact, withheld any and all love from my mother because she didn't go out and see it right after I threatened to withhold my love if she didn't. Hey, it's not my fault. She knew the risks. She's made her soup, and now she has to swim in it.

5)Last weeks EW's "What to Watch" column (which, why did they shrink it to three pages again?) endeared me not once, but twice. It made a mention of CM with JMy goodness and then called FPJ a chicken puppet, or something. Or maybe claymation chicken. Anyway, I was much enthused. And I love that JM is recognizable enough that the columnist of a widely circulated entertainment mag knows that he has a mildly enthusiastic fanbase. And, of course, by mildly enthusiastic I mean rabidly obsessed.

6) I'm bored.

7) I know there is much I wanted to post about but I can't remember it. Curses!

8) I finished my colored stone grading class and got a 95 on the challenge. Damn you, emeralds, and your trixy light return.

9) The bad news: I am almost finished with Blood Rites. Good news: the new HD book comes out in May, I think. Bad news: That's two freaking months from now. Good news: The Grave Peril audio book comes out next week, Bad news: I don't have fifty bucks for it. Good news: At least I have only ready the books once, so I can reread and reread and reread 'til my little hearts content. Bad news: The film version staring JM has not yet been cast (gooo JM! Choose JM!) or made which is a problem because OMG I want to see it right now!!!!!

10) Is there a ten? Er, I started reading The Shining. Also, I am having serious problems with Atlas Shrugged but my mom and sister both adored it so I plod on.

11) The St. Patrick's Day Parade was on Thursday which makes sense, I suppose, as Thursday was St. Patrick's Day. It was loud and there were no Oxen which I think makes it much inferior to the Columbus Day Parade. Bagpipes and Irish pride are all well and good, but what is a parade, really, without the threat of a trampling by a two ton beast of burden? Exactly.

Have a nice, safe happy night all.
