I've seen oxen, have you?
Oct. 11th, 2004 04:56 pmNo really. Today I saw oxen. As in ox. Plural. Like two. Two oxen. Up close and personal. Bitty little things, really, weighing in at maybe one, two thousand pounds. Their shoulder height was maybe, maybe a half a foot above my head. And those pointy horns couldn't have been more than one and a half, two curly feet.
And, of course, I saw them on the corner of 46th and Fifth Avenue, because where else does one expect to see oxen?
Between the celebrity camels in Rock. Center last Christmas and the oxen today I can honestly say that moving to New York City has definitely enhanced my wildlife encounters.
Also, today I graded my first diamonds over four carats. Actually, three were over five carats. It is, shockingly enough, exactly like grading diamonds under four carats except, you know, bigger.
Finally, there are these pictures floating around
marsters_daily of JM when he was doing some tv show or movie or, possibly, tv movie and he's all young and cute and kind of innocent looking with his earnest blue eyes and curly brown hair and flannel shirt and I looked at them and thought "Aww, what a cutie. He's so hot".
But he looks so young and while he still has the eyes and the emoting and the killer cheekbones I can't see even a fraction of the sex appeal he just radiates in his later years. Young JM I want to cuddle, older JM I want to mount.
And now I veg.

Rest in Peace, Superman. I'll miss you.
ETA: the oxen looked like this except for the part where they were all black and carrying the latest D&G clutch.
What?
