I am so sorry I missed your wishes on the actual days of birth, but as a wise (an terribly sexy) woman once told me, as it is still August I am totally within the grace time as it isn't so much a Birthday as it is an entire month Birthmonth event. And that seems logical.
I wish I could have made it to the shin dig, but alas, I was up to my elbows in unpacking. I will just have to give you your birthday spankings the next time I see you *strokes the cat 'o nine*

And not even belated! WooHoo! You are a sexy, stunning, wonderful woman and I am so lucky to know you! And, of course, you'll get your birthday spankings next time I see you, too. But you might have to wait until July. But baby, it'll be so worth the wait. ;)
28 is the best age ever as the coolest people were born in 1976!
3) Did I mention I sawsodanyc on the train last week? At 6:45 in the morning? On a Friday? And we just happened to be up and at the same train and the same car and the same door at the right time? Crazy, yo!
My train of thought upon seeing her was something like "Dude [yes, I 'dude' to myself. What of it?] that girl looks just like Soda. But there is no way. But with the killer tan! And the curls! And the thin and tall and beautiful and athletic and I know it's Soda but it can't be because what on earth would those odds be?" And it pretty much continued like that with the occasional furtive glance to the girl on the train who looked exactly like Soda but couldn't be because my mind couldn't grasp the concept.
As it turns out, it was. :)
What an early morning treat! We will have to do things like brunch and go for walks and be young and trendy in Brooklyn together.
4) Yesterday, as I was awash in a sea of books, my cell rang, as it does when I have a call. I swam out of the deluge, lunged for the phone and was treated to the lovelycanadia_bit on the other end of the line!!!! And she was in a car with fenwic and cousinjean. Andadjrun and sunbrae were in the car following them.
And I got to talk to all of 'em. Because I am that. Damn. Lucky. It was such a treat to hear from them all (and what was really cool? Bit actually threw Fen's phone out the window of the car and right into Sunny's waiting hand while on the expressway. How's that for coordination) (Okay, I'm kidding) (or am I?)
But it was so nice to hear from all of them and they were, as usual, so sweet and funny and wonderful and Adj is actually going to be in New York this Fall! Pardon me:

Mind the 'caps, they're piercing.
I felt very special, indeed.
5) I don't know if I've mentioned this before, butthesaucyone's cell is, like, stalking me. I will occasionally get a call from her and be treated to the sound of a Saucy conversation from the muffled vantage point of her purse or pocket or what have you.
It's really quite funny.
But yesterday I got about six calls from her while she was talking to someone who I think was a Con celeb as they were talking about music and "what are you going to do next" and stuff but the phone kept cutting off and I couldn't figure out who she was talking to! And I am kind of assuming she meant to call as they kept coming right after another with the same person in conversation!
SAUCY! Who were you talking to? NB? ASH? JM? All of the above? Did you call from an orgy *fans self*. Did you mean to call?
It occurs to me that I really could have called her back, but my unpacking addled mind obviously couldn't be counted on. Maybe I should have gotten a Coolatta. Apparently they help with that sort of thing.
Okay. That's enough. I am in a very bllllleeeeeaaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhh mood and have to sulk to myself, and maybe unpack more. Or maybe just troll for fic. One never knows.
