You know that spot. The one spot everyone has in the middle of their back, right between their shoulder blades. The one that gets burned in the summer 'cause you can't quite reach with the sunscreen (College ex once had a hand outline in it where he tired in vein to reach with the sunblock. Hee!), can barely get to for itching and rarely gets a good washing unless you have one of those pouf-on-a-stick thingies?
Yeah, guess where my newest diamond-grading knot has set up shop.
It's not really stretchable. I can't rub it or massage it. And I can't really reach to get the freaking Ben-gay patch on it.
I think tomorrow I will go to The Sharper Image and use one of those back massager/vibrator things. They usually help.
Because, really? OW!
16 stones today, and barely 16 at that. I was off my game and had a lot of feedback which required me putting away the stone I was working on then looking at the stone I was being, uh, fed. On the plus side, I wanted 16 to be my minimum per day for the week, so I'm still good with that. Next week my min. will be 16/17.
Baby steps, yo.
I also spent about 45 minutes on one stone (Fancy Vivid Yellow heart shape. Crappy symmetry but incredible color) only to find out that I wasn't supposed to be working on fancy colors. Bah. Whatever.
But the day brightened considerably when I got a call at luch from one of my best friends from High School! YAY! I haven't talked to her in years! It was so nice to hear from her and now I really can't wait for the reunion. And - AND - she offered to pick me up from the train station, so I don't even have to take a cab to the school! What a peach!

sodanyc? Whilst pursuing your undergraduate degree did you by any chance know an art history major named Zoey (short for Zenobia)? She would be a year behind you, as she is graduating next month. She is friend's baby sister (graduating from college! Good god) so it would be one of those small world dealies.
