What do these people have in common?
They were seen by me yesterday.
I was able to watch some of the VMA pre-show from the main conference room of my building which was faboo. That is where I saw Sean Paul.
I saw the today crew (sans Katie Couric. Oh well. I think she is on vacation. Or she was inside, too good to mingle amongst the hoi polloi, the bitch). They were in front of the giant scary carousal, of giant heads. It was interesting.
Ann Curry is beautiful and so genuinely sweet, and Matt Lauer is a hottie, though he really needs to grow out his hair. Silly Matt.
After watching from the 20th floor I went to leave and it turned out that the limos and big fucking SUV's were all lining up outside my building before the red carpet walk. That is where I saw Beyonce (who was beautiful and sweet. I love her!) and Jason Biggs, who is, well, Jason Biggs. And Not!Michael.
I also saw 50cent drive by with eight freaking HUGE bodyguards outside his SUV. Now, I am not a little girl, but one of the bodyguard's biceps was as big as my waist. Apparently Mr. Cent is either on someone's hit list or he is ueberparanoid. But I made myself laugh picturing the guards (all bald and in black) sensing a threat and doing the Power Ranger "Go go 50 cent bodyguard, Power of the Thug!" and morphing into a super giant guard (like the power rangers) when the threat is particularly serious. Hee! I amuse myself.
I left Rock Center around 7:30 and barely made the 8:20 train out of Penn. The crowd was so bad that I had to cut through St. Patrick's and Saks and I realized that I needed some new make-up and I figured since I was there . . .
I didn't get home until nine, so I missed the Madonna/Britney/Christina kisses (*sob*) and I am just heartbroken over that. I don't know what I am going to do! Will it ever air again?
I guess I will have to go home and turn on MTV and pray that it is on. And if it isn't, I will just have to wait 20 minutes.
Good ol' MTV: playing the hell out of their awards shows since 1983.
I did, though, see the painful segment with the Queer Eye boys plus Jimmy Fallon. The only thing I got out of it is the reassurance that Carson and Ted are my Queer Eye OTP. Why else would Carson touch Ted when he was talking about some of them liking it rough (or something like that). Carson and Ted forever. *sigh*
And Justin. Apparently my vote didn't make a difference, yesterday. He didn't get the Viewers Choice. Oh well. He will just have to live with the other three awards he won. Poor boy-- I'll comfort you.
Honestly, I turned them off after a half hour. I thought they were really dull. And stupid. And I was reading AU fic. I am okay with it.
Three and a half hours until I go home! Then come back into the city! Wheee!
