Not fic. I haven't even begun to think about it because of the heartache.

Date: 2008-05-29 05:38 am (UTC)Do you use Firefox? If so, I recommend using http://foxmarks.com/ going forward. It lets you access your bookmarks from any computer anytime. The icing on the cake? It autosyncs your bookmarks on all the computers you use. But whether you use FF or IE, I also recommend exporting/backing up your bookmarks to a document from time to time. (Which is how I keep my IE bookmarks in sync with FF.)
As for rebuilding, you probably don't remember, but a few years ago -- you got a new computer, I think? -- I sent you a list of all my Whedonverse bookmarks. It was mostly fic, but a bunch of other stuff as well.
Anyway, my bookmarks are just as maniacally organized as ever, and I have a QaF section, now, too. And general fandom bookmarks, of course. You want I should send?
Let me know :)
Love,

Date: 2008-05-30 12:53 am (UTC)But I would love, love, love an updated version of the list. That would be faboo because you are made of organizational win and have fantastic list skills, indeed.
and while I don't currently have Firefox I'm sure I will soon as Fleet has no problem adding whatever he thinks I need to my computer. I know he isn't the reason for the snafu and subsequent erasing, though. He's a computer programer (well, was until he got bored) and has actually cleaned up a lot of my computer. Something *else* (like the mono) I can't blame on him!
Thank you, love!

Date: 2008-05-29 05:37 pm (UTC)It keeps your bookmarks online, you can separate them into categories with tags, you can make some or all of them private, you can add an easy-add link right to your bookmark bar, it's really neat. I use it because I use two computers with equal frequency and it's easier to have everything in one place that I can access off any computer. And this way you'll always have a backup. And if you're worried about the site crashing, you can export a copy of the bookmarks at any point for your own backup.
